Another goodie! Art of Play is a magical place. Cant get enough! Ooooh bird fact that blew my mind! Around 200,000 insects have to be served up to raise a single Swallow chick to adulthood. 😃
I love the puffin , un the Shetland isle you see loads , but most places they in in the side of cliffs so hard to see , but a beautiful looking bird , great show lads
Germany has the best toys in the world - I did not consider bird calls as toys, but happy to learn something new. Red Robbins se beautiful here in the midwest. That deck is gorgeous! 54 original works!!!
🦆😀👍🕊 What an awesome surprise with y'alls fascination of birds & birdcalls. *My favorite bird is the Lyrebird* particularly the "Superb Lyrebird." They live is Australia & can mimic 20+ species of other birds. Many of whom easily are fooled, hence the Lyre-bird name (liar). Also they imitate pretty much any sounds they hear around them like car alarms & camera shutters😄 but also sadly even CHAINSAWS & HAMMERS from the constant destruction of nearby forests 🛠 🌲🗡🌿
There are so many interesting birds in the DC area and my wife and I always half joke about becoming bird watchers. This kit might push us over the edge. 😂
I l0ve those birdcalls! An interesting fact related to birds, it's said the movements of Japanese Swallows inspired samuai Sasaki Kojiro to come up with his signature move through his desire to be able to cut one down, as this was seen as an impossible feat due to the extreme swiftness and dexterity of the bird's expertise in flight, thanks to the split tail they have which allows them far greater maneuverability compared to other birds.
I wanted to write about my favorite bird the kiwi not only is a flightless bird that looks like a pear shaped fur creature but it is also one of the only birds to have it’s nostrils at the end of the beak which means it also has a stronger sense of smell. It’s also an honorary mammal!
The splendid fairy wren is a fantastic bird! Weighing around 9 grams, they live for 5-6 years! Also check out the murmurations of starlings - a fantastic thing to witness in person :)
Also an interesting fact about humming birds (you probably know) is a hummingbirds wing-flapping rates vary from around 12 beats per second in the largest species to 80 per second in small hummingbirds! Beautiful birds!
My grandfather was in the 2nd wave in to hit the beach of Normandy in WW2. He received 3 Bronze Stars during his time over there. Unfortunately he passed away before I was born. I have heard the stories passed down about the barbarism of the camps. I have a deck of Ivan Moscovich work and it is very impressive as was his life. May his rest be peaceful.
Hey look at me, I remember seeing Blaine do the card to mouth I myself had a lot of fun with it on friends plenty of options for the reveal oh n you wanna step things up maybe eating an umeboshi while doin a specific flourish haha or someone gets a double hand spring to the face 🤣 don’t worry if you want more ideas I’ll keep ‘em comin
In the book Health Secrets of Plants and Herbs, Maurice Messegué writes that his father taught him about the 'wild lettuce' that grows on the walls and swallows used as medicine for their chicks. Turns out this herb is called celandine, which comes from 'chelidon' meaning swallow. The scientific genus for this amazing bird is Chelidonium majus. Reading this book and especially this anecdote led me to go back in history to find how animals self-medicate and that we humans have been aware of it at least since Aristotle. After 8 years of research, I finally got my PhD last February 😊 and I love to tell stories about animals' knowledge in nature's pharmacy (zoopharmacognosy)
In Denmark, our national bird is the swan, but all Danes have a fear of swans. The fear stems from the notion that swans are strong enough to break an adult human arm with their wings. 😮 🦢 😅
One of my favorite birds ever are Torogoz from El Salvador (where im from) and Quetzal from Guatemala. Really beautiful birds with long tails and wonderful colors you should check them out.
You can do an accurate morning dove call by cupping your hands and blowing down across your thumbs which form a slight opening in your otherwise sealed cupped hands. Bit knacky but then again you're Dan and Dave Buck, I believe you know a thing or two about knack.
Interesting fact about bird calls, you can produce the morning dove call with nothing but your hands. Cup your hands together air tight, and blow into a small opening at the knuckle of your thumbs. You can then adjust the pitch by lossening your airtight seal ever so slighlty. Have fun!
If you were to trim the tail feathers off of a bird and attach the feathers to the tail of another bird, the bird with the bigger tail feathers will attract more mates than the trimmed bird and a regular tail feathered bird. Certain birds love big tail feathers.
@@Artofplaywent back to took. Apparently I didn't get a notification for that video. UA-cam has been weird lately. Anyway you guys are awesome and congrats to the winners.
Philippine eagle These birds have much clearer eyesights compared to humans, and have the capacity to see eight times the distance that the human eye can see.

Nice! I really enjoyed the bird calls!
Seing your original copy of your first lecture notes was great!
When Dave asked for a broken in deck, Dan's face and his soft "Sorry" was like tough luck bro....I had to eat a whole pepper.
I love seeing cardinals because it reminds me of family and friends who have passed away

For some reason mesmerized by 14:23
In Minnesota we have a lot of loons and they can dive as deep as 75 feet underwater in the sweet lake waters.
My favourite bird is the Bohemian Waxwing it is one of the most stylish looking birds :)

I suggested doing a hard card trick/cardistry but with eggs cracked on your head!!! Get the eggs!!!

It because you guys are too nice
When will or has it been selected who won the decks of luxury cards?
The winners were chosen in Episode 8. Cheers!
@@Artofplay ok thanks very much

I recently looked at my notes for the tricks I was performing seven years ago, and they were terrible.
I use videos instead of notes. Probably almost as cringe/terrible, if not more 😆
I don't see any comments here
I had a cardinal fly back and fourth and attack its reflection on our door for literally 6 days straight. Wierdo😂
