50 years is not the length of their output that is considered brilliant. Just because old people still want to make money doesn't mean their senior tours are musically important. Fleetwood Mac was "great" on the first two albums with Buckingham and Nicks. The earlier bands were completely different bands, with the same name. Rumours is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. Doesn't match The Beatles prolific achievement though.
The two versions of Fleetwood Mac are absolutely their own individually and while the Beatles have had such an influence on music in general I found it interesting that 'Mac' had achieved such success with the early line-up. Of course they can''t compare, they are unique unto themselves, I just found it a cool tidbit. The continuation of a band after their 'prime' is always a conversation piece isn't it? So few can really sell themselves after a certain period and yet many go on to continue selling the tickets. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Yeah, it was a hard call to leave out Danny and some of the others that had been in the line-up over the years. I ultimately had to go with the members that had the biggest impact on the arc of the band. That's not to say that the others didn't contribute, just that shift in direction wasn't as large or obvious. And also..tough to get so much info into 8 minutes lol. Thank you for the comment, call-out and for watching!

The great Danny Kirwan gets no mention in this video.

Different types of music. No real way to compare.
