Soo of course CoD players, come to this game expect a better CoD experience and literally only like it because it doesn’t have sbmm. They need to fix the issue where you’re emptying an entire mag into an enemy including headshots at close range and they don’t die…but turns and kills you with two bullets while you’re at full health!!!
Exactly this is why I enjoy xdefiant its objective based. It's also about gun skill so yiu have to land your shots and not be crutched by op weapons. Sane with the kill streaks all they do is add camping to the game. I use to go on high kill streak games in cod and nothing beat playing specialist and getting all gun kills. The adrenaline rush was not dying and just shitting on everyone. Almost every reason he named sounded like Exactly why this game was created in the first place. I like the honesty but sheesh sounds like you just need to only play cod .

Good that you're honest about wanting something that's like COD. From what i heard, a lot of cod players are not honest about it. Probably just buffing the ultimates and making kills add more would do what you want as far as killstreaks go. Though TTK is pretty fast looking, but i'm used to games like TF2 and halo, which probably feel insane as far as TTK goes to a COD player.
I appreciate the honesty in saying you want it to be more like COD but its just not its a different game all together the killstreak incentive is for you to get your ultimate faster when you get more kills it charges faster and the ultimate is only as good as you make it and they all have their neiches with that said I love the game but don't believe its for everyone good video honestly airing your greviences without just saying "ITS A SHIT GAME AND I HATE IT" I felt frustrated the first few hours I was playing because I was doing poorly but once I figured out the maps and how to effectively use the abilities it got better but that's just how it worked out for me

Everyone has that. Many call it hit detection, but the hit detection is fine, it is the netcode that is something wrong with. Basically what is happening there is on his screen he gets the melee, but when his PC sends that to server, the server says, well uhm, ACTUALLY, he was already dead, killed by the other player at that time, so that melee won't count. Mark Rubin (who is the guys that speaks for xdefiant developers) has promised this is something they are working on making better. And they need to.

The game is very fast moving, and there is always some latency, so when this happens, the server has to decide, if you were right for being behind cover, or he was right for shooting you right before you disappeared. and maybe there is also some processing delay or something. I am FAR from an expert on this. I just know the basics in layman terms. And there is definetly room for improvement in the netcode and how all this is handled. I also believe more servers would help them. I haven't played with more than ping 10-20 in a decade at least, but in this game servers are so far way I get 35-45 ping. The closer you are to the server, and the less ping difference you have, the less this will happen. I find it a bit ironic that they set them self up to be "No SBMM" and "Now connection matters the most." But then they only have a small handfull servers. They might not even need more servers, just spread them out more. I am in europe, but I can see its the same in USA where several major cities don't have servers.
i think game modes like hotshot and tdm shouldn’t be in ranked to hold it’s core identity competitively. draw cod players in w tdm then trick them into team play
I agree on most of Your points : this game fall off quickly due to all games being essentially the same shoot die and repeat, abilities like they are now doesnt meant to be placed in cod-like games, especially when they aim to steal its franchise players. SBMM or no SBMM feels literally the same in xdefiant and cod as well. Those game are sweaty and its not a game changer for me. Another thing - ttk and map quality lacks that magic feeling that COD gave. Even longer ttk cods like BOCW doesnt had that clunky feeling that You need entire mag to kill one enemy.

The devs did say that they want to make an arena shooter thats free to play without SBMM, and that was the goal, it was never to cater to the COD market because the Devs behind the game literally said that it never wanted to take over Cods market .... You already can see they're addressing a bit of things with the first update you can see the big potential with its future updates and plans. Xdefiant is literally in pre season only, They are reserved because they dont wanna screw up because ubisoft has had a rough few years. You want cod ? Play Cod.....dont bring that cod mentality over to xdefiant. plus I am confuse....You want xdefiant to follow cod but cod sucks ? What ? No in all honesty xdefiant should move even more away from COD, Look at the cod community and their games and ask yourself is that truly what you want in Xdefiant ? Just basically a copy and paste ? The movement broke it for me. People want the bunny hopinh to be nerfed, but a bigger problem imo is the "air strafing". Running in one direction, jumping, drawing a circle in the air, and end up going another direction on landing is hilariously bad game design imo. It's not a jetpack game, but you can defy physics like it is. I actually thought this was some kinda engine problem, netcode problem, server problem, whatever...then people said it's actually just part of the design. Movement not only looks too ridiculous but tracking can get too difficult. I'm out.
Most comp fps have movement mechanics like that. CS the biggest comp fps has air strafing and bhopping. Valorant does too and old games like quake had it. Just because you can't hit your shots doesn't mean it is bad game design.

Yeah it got old fast and till they fix the netcode, hit reg and more modes I might come check it out but even then games just mid to me.
