  • We're now squarely in the part of the season where the statlines start getting weird. There's a ton of teams that are out of the playoffs, and with nothing to play for, they're going all out with strange lineups and odd minutes distributions. The Grizzlies aren't going as nuts as some teams (though the Tyler Zeller signing was pretty nuts, and I still don't exactly know who Dusty Hannahs is), especially compared to last season. They are still mostly giving their minutes to real players; last season, Delon Wright would be watching this game from the bench in a suit.
So I've seen a lot of weird statlines these last few days, and I'm sure I'll see even more in the coming days, but this might be the craziest one yet. Wright isn't some random scrub or 10-dayer, he's a legitly legitimate NBA player and has been for a while, but this performance... DAMN. 26 points, a career high. 14 assists, also a career high. I was praying that his 10 rebounds would be a career high as well. My prayers went unanswered, probably because whatever deities I was praying to are not capable of going back in time and changing his 13-rebound game from a few years ago into a 9-rebound game. Hmph. Some deities they are. This was important, that Wright get his first career triple-double while also setting a career high in three separate statistical categories, and they ignore me/listen to me but find themselves unable to grant my request.
Raptors fans, are you seeing this? While you have to enjoy Jeremy Lin sucking as Jodie Meeks using steroids while losing to the Hornets (LMAO), Wright is leading his new team to victories basically by himself. Jonas Valanciunas used to be helping out until he got injured, so that's funny too. Maybe if you combined the results of Kawhi Leonard's scoring, Kyle Lowry's assisting, and Marc Gasol's rebounding, you MIGHT, in like one out of every ten games, end up with a statline like this. And Wright is doing it all by himself.

Any Grizzlies fans going to continue falsely state that Raptors fans are pained by the trade.. maybe jealous, but people are happy Delon, JV and Bruno are doing well. Raptors are happy to have Marc for the playoff run
