  • Amazing Wildlife Encounter- Tiger Snake eats Willie Wagtail
The footage gives a rare insight into the rawness and unforgiving side of nature. Watch as a hungry Tiger Snake battles a pair of Willie Wagtails (birds) in a tree and plucks all four young from their nest. The encounter took place in suburban Melbourne, Australia and occurred over a thirty minuet duration. I hope you enjoy this small glimpse into spectacular and rarely seen animal behavior.

Thanks Peter graded you enjoyed and I agree with you completely. We are far to isolated and removed from mother nature. this encounter is just a slight insight into what happens each and every day in the real world. The amount of emotional responses from people about saving the baby birds just goes to show that people don't understand the circle of life. Its amazing the number of people who become experts and over opinionated analysts after sitting on the couch and watching the news.

To anyone who has labeled the snake evil, or bad, I'd like to say that:
A better way to think about nature is that we humans really have a stained perception. It's natural we should feel sorry for the prey animal and even label the hunter as evil, but remember, creatures have to eat too. Looking at this in a unbiased way , its watching the habits of one of the creatures on this planet, the same as watching a bird eat a berry or a squirrel bury nuts. I'd like to believe that whenever something lives, something dies as well. The death of these 4 chicks prevented the death of other creatures such as rodents and other chicks. Its a cycle we feel like we are separate from, but how many animals have to die daily for our growth and well, being. Even vegans are not safe from harming the planet by using commodities we have grown used to.

Found a bird (initially thought robin, later found out pigeon baby)... it was so cold in the rainy floor..... It helped BEST if they are placed in a DARK room (ideally on a tray with fluffy soft old cotton cloths to keep them warm + a small plastic BOTTLE filled with WARM WATER and wrapped in cloth so they can snuggle up near its warmth) they fall asleep within 10-15 mins & can safely recover for 1 day and then regular day cycle, in a quite corner (like store room).
Also ideal to feed them CERELAC liquid food with a 1-2 mm piercing in a glove/baloon streched onto a plastic bottle, then they open mouth & EASILY EAT AS MUCH AS THEY NEED (usually 5-10 ml in one go).... Good luck & thanks! 🕊👏🙏

Just cuz it's natural doesn't mean it can't be cruel at the same time

Gh05tWh0W4lk5 Thanks very much mate! you are correct, In Australia we are extremely fortunate to have such amazing and unique wildlife so close to our homes. We have to ensure that we do all we can to preserve what animals are native and remove those that are not. Good luck with your hunting, I appreciate the comments. Cheers Ayden
