Isn’t it sad yet amazing how they still keep bringing food long after the chicks are devoured. The human race might not know how to accurately interpret some of the things animals do but what’s certain is they too have feelings.
I could feel the pain happening in the heart of that mother bird while seeing the snake attacked their nest and ate their babies . This is very sad things that parents avoid 😭😭
These birds do not feel anything like what you feel, they don't have a large and complex brain, they are governed by instinct alone and have been for thousands of years.

BOTH parents are IDENTICAL, both feed and clean the nest. These are not babies or children, they are CHICKS. Stop assuming it's always the mother, as both share the responsibility.
Nature doesn't have feelings or empathy it just does what it does according to her rules. It sucks for those chicks, but I'm sure plenty of young snakes that just got hatched get eaten by birds just the same. We tend to anthropomorphize nature and hate to see cute things destroyed and don't care when the ugly ones perish.

these parent birds got no balls. They were right there while the snake eating the baby birds. They did nothing besides making noise around the snake. I saw parent birds actually defend their baby birds infront of snake in similar situation. These two parents were too scared.
Fact of the matter is, only about 1 in 4 baby birds make it. The rest become food for other critters that raid the nest. It’s not cruel or unjust, it’s just nature in action. Birds are incredibly plentiful, so enough of them survive.
I was surprised at how quickly that snake ate those birds.

Not sure how intelligent these birds are... or whether they feel sorrow days after... what they do feels very mechanic. Lay egg, feed, repeat...
They probably do not feel sorrow the way we do. They have small brains and short memories although they do bond. They certainly have a survival instinct in a bonding instinct and a maternal instinct. But the survival of bird species is such that they produce large broods frequently and most of them don't make it to adulthood so this is kind of business as usual for the mom.
Everybody talked about precautions but nobody has talked about the chirping of the mother bird who really was calling it's babies😭😭

It's quite obvious this snake is an experienced bird eater, it quickly devoured these 3 chicks!
Those 3 Fats birdies were in deep sleep & didn't even realize their siblings being eaten alive by a giant snake right on top of them. The momma probably fed them too much & it caused them to start thinking with their stomach instead.
That snake wasn't worried about the parent birds at all. He probably would have made a meal out of them too

Was it really necessary to eat ALL of them?! By the 3rd chick you could tell the snake wasn’t even hungry anymore. As a side note I have to say that my entire life I’ve felt totally neutral about snakes-didn’t love but also didn’t hate them. Videos like these have me changing my mind. Go after rodents or something! Blind, Helpless chicks in a nest while the mother is having an audible panic attack..adjectives such as apathy, lazy, and evil come to mind. After watching these videos I’ll never look at snakes the same way again. My one wish would be that they stopped going after the easy targets like this, it is so heart breaking. But any nature channel you watch, it’s the exact same thing-picking your easiest target/picking off the weak, the young, or the slow one. Unfortunately this is the planet in which we live and are a part of. It’s amazing that we don’t have a 100% depression rate across the globe lol. I put nature on pause when I see something like this, I saved a chipmunk from a hawk bird while walking my dog. It was so crazy I'm in the woods on a path and see this hawk standing on this chipmunk it's right in the middle of the path other birds are around going crazy I run towards it with my Doberman and the hawk tries to fly away with it; the hawk gets off the ground just a little bit it cannot fly straight up because of the trees hanging over the path, the hawk drops the fighter critter and it runs off the hawk lands down a ways and now my Doberman wants to get the Hawk. It flies low and gets out of there empty handed, I was not going to allow nature kill something right in front of me, the hawk will live to find another animal to eat, but not in front of me.
Nature is harsh, imagine being eaten alive.

I feel bad for the parents, they lost their babies. All that hard work of building the nest 🪺 keeping the eggs warm, spending all day each and every day finding food. Feeding and cleaning after them. Just for them to become a 3 piece 🍗 meal for a snake.

At the end, the mother’s confusion and disbelief are heart breaking. She, (like us), likely understands very little regarding this game of life that we are stuck in for the time being. As a human it’s hard to know what she is feeling-but likely within a few weeks I’m guessing she will lay eggs again and this event will be a thing of the past (just guessing here-if anyone knows otherwise feel free to comment). Had this event happened to a human however-the parent may never recover. Not taking anything away from the bird-but most of us human beings feel too deeply. This can be a strength but also a major weakness. If there’s anything to learn from this bird and all animals it’s that-life goes on, the world will continue to turn, and there’s nothing we can do to stop death (or time). Just do your best while you’re here and try to avoid giving birth/raising your babies near tomato plants.

Nature isnt bias. Im sorry for the chicks as im sure we all are but the snake got food. The snakes just as important to an ecosystem as any other creature native there, just as the rabbits, birds, even the bugs people hate are important in some ways.
No animal was hurt on the making of this videos.
The only winner here is that awful, greedy snake. He had a nice supper and gobbled up all three babies but the mother bird was missing her chicks. She kept coming back to feed them and was obviously searching for them. Very sad.
