- Working out of Industry City in Sunset Park Brooklyn, wood worker and artist Paul Kruger creates functional pieces of furniture, and sculpture, from fallen trees and reclaimed wood. He discusses the beginning of this journey, which started with long walks along the Hudson river in New York City, where he began to collect the discarded pieces of wood and rework them.
I also love working with old wood. It has a special character.
Some beautiful work here .. given me some inspiration!
Please show us more of the process you follow to create these works of art.
I do the same here in upstate NY, been about it for a long time, house and cabin is full of my work. Still creating every week will trade my work for rides to the doctor’s and food one day…….or not. Nice work.
Who Knew Working With Wood Could Be So Cool.

Do you have more woodworking videos or is this I'm not really seeing any at the moment
Hi, just fyi, I'm the videographer and editor who created this piece. It was done for the collective space where his studio is located ( SparkWorkshop Brooklyn). I think the owner of SparkWorkshop is planning to do a series of woodworking videos so you might want to check the website and see if and when those will start.
