It’s amazing how he finds the beauty in each face, and brings it out - even when he has very little hair - or very poor quality hair - to work with. From what I can see, there are many hair stylists in Korea who don’t understand how the hair will react after it is cut a certain way - or they just don’t care. Here I think it was a combination of both: Her hair was layered too high up all around, and over-layered on the sides (leaving see-through areas). Plus they cut off more length than she requested - which is always cruel. He really works miracles.
omg, my hair is so thick and wavy too. So, I asked for them to thin it but they gave me layers and it just made my hair look bigger! I'll make sure to do this next time!
I wish I live in Korea so I can send an application too. Just this weekend I decided to get a sharming cut. I showed lots of examples and explained how I wanted things to be to the hair stylist but then on the first attempt he did a straight bob cut. I went around the mall thinking if it was really the hair I wanted and probably just sucking up the courage to ask them to fix it. You see I'm an introvert and I relate a lot with her for just agreeing especially when I don't have someone with me. I went back showed them again the cut I want and then ghe stylist said :but then it would be layered" I was surprised because it means he didn't understood at first what i wanted to do with my hair. Even while cutting it for the second time he is still not sure about what he was doing I keep pointing out the parts where he should thin and layered out but then it came to the point where it's getting really frustrating and I feel like I've been giving them a hard time so I just said I'm fine with it. I went home took a shower and the cut on my neck wasn't proportionate. It was really obvious and the thickness too. It made me wonder if they were just not studying about current hair trends or they just have the skill but not the creativity. Now I have to go to another salon and spend a big amount of money again 😔
I wish more people will realize that puffy hair or frizzy hair means there's a hidden hair texture. All you need is to give moisture to the hair either by using leave in conditioner or styling cream/gel, scrunch the hair to bring out the "real" texture of the hair which was hidden. This girl looks like she have either a wavy or curly hair naturally. Therefore it's hard to achieve "neat" straight look without any heat styling. I think Kiu ssaem understand that she has a wavy hair that's why he asked her whether she straighten her hair often or not and he listened well on her request to make it look less puffy without styling tools. Kiu ssaem did a great job on fixing the puffiness of the hair but I would say that it is only for temporary. Because when we did the thinning technique it will makes our hair looks weird when it grows out. I hope in the future there will be more people with textured hair understand their own hair and eventually learn how to style them properly.
The advertisement at the end is pure gold~ She looks younger with her current hairstyle, her face didn't look long shaped at all, Kiu does a good job! The previous hairstyle might resemble a layered bob, I have done it before and it also doesn't look good at all... :') Unfortunately I don't have a Kiu in my country, so I can only wait to grow it out while fiercely tie it up everyday. 저도 미용에 종사하신지 삼십년 되신 어머니 친구분한테 끝만 살짝 정리해주세요 했는데... 가슴아래 긴생머리가 보아님의 걸스온탑이 되었을 때 깊은 탄식을 했습니다... 제일 짧은 머리가 턱선까지 오고 뒷머리는 가슴까지 오는데... 요즘 거울볼 때마다 현타오ㅏ요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그래도 이분은 예쁘게 정리되서 너무 다행이신 거 같아요 ㅎㅎ

it makes me sad when korean people don’t know what to do with their naturally curly hair :’( i used to always get magic because my mom didn’t know what to do with my hair, but now i take care of it to be curly! it’s possible to even bleach it once you take care of it correctly!
