    I’m so late to the party, but I just love you! You’re so kind and genuine. I often feel like I’m just hanging out with an old friend while also getting inspired to create something beautiful... This is absolutely My favorite crafty/painting/repurposing/upcycling furniture type UA-cam channel there is. Your grace just pours threw the screen and fills my cup on the days when it’s almost dry and i need it most.... thank you for sharing yourself with the world and today, on also a Sunday but 2 years later, I’m grateful for you!!

    I’m so thankful I found Debi’s page in which made me smile and laugh to me getting up out of bed and live life again!!!! So then by the grace of God I watched you help her paint your tech on a video ❤️ and then BAM 💥 here you are and I’m crying because It’s like you are inside my head doing exactly how I see art! In all my works... painting furniture to painting hair!!! Krafty HairartTist ❤️
    I’m ready to get back to ME 💯❤️
    Thank you both!!!
    PS I’m doing an old Armoire as my first piece also

    l'm sorry, l just could not paint over that beautiful natural wood armoire. l know that this type of painting
    is very popular recently, but nothing beats the beauty of the texture of natural wood The emphasis is given to the paint. Some pieces of furniture, l would beautify with chalk paint etc, the outcome is very impressive.

    Just found your channel this armoire is exciting. I at the moment am working on a small 4 drawer cabinet trying my hand at Unicorn Spit. Blending, and watching how you do it I too try not to use a new brush every time and have never tried DIY paint but I will look into it. To be honest I have used everything from old house paint, craft paint, and even the oops paint at our local stores. I love doing old windows, and furniture pieces but I also cut wood and make signs, Just subscribed so I will be watching watch else you do and have done. Love this piece so far WOW. great colors.. I don't know how this turned out. I'm sure it is beautiful. But, if it was a piece I was doing, I would not have painted over the burled wood panels. But the blues in this video are the ones I use in my own home = Hey Sailor = blues. I'm grateful for my beautiful, smart, and kind-hearted granddaughters - one is being baptized and then she is going to get proposed to. Marrying a 'friend' is the best way to go. Being honest with one another is a blessing.

    Dionne, may I ask why you wanted to do another layer? I noted that you didn't have the piece covered in a base coat of any kind before you added colour, so wondered if it was because one layer is insufficient, generally speaking, as it looked fab with just the one coat? Thanks!

    • @TheTurquoiseIris

    how much is your paint drying on the brushes when you're onto another color...and does it soften when you start to use it again? I don't see you soaking brushes...or wetting them?

    • @TheTurquoiseIris
      @TheTurquoiseIris  5 років тому

      Lisa Hainline Have you ever used DIY paint? It’s a clay based paint that’s all natural ingredients. No contamination. The sample jars are perfect for making videos like this so, so yes, I double dip in to my jars because I go through them so quickly. Water will reactivate the paint for blending but my brushes are not drying out, there’s no need to wet them during paint times. After the video, I will wrap them in plastic until I use them the next day. Thanks for watching!😊

  • @Lihain2
    @Lihain2 5 років тому

    if you are DIPPING BACK INTO THE JAR when overlaying, are you not contaminating your paint jar? what?
