I've got goosebumps everywhere. I love this piece and heard its many variations, but your version is the best. The merge of lower registers with higher is sublime.

An other fantastic piece of music played by this big Orchester - it sounds great!
Have to count how many players there are... one, two, three, four, five... ...arggg.... countless ! :-)))

What we need to know is if she returned to Phoebus at some point. Is there music that reunites people?
Otherwise we may be hearing Pavane lachrymae on repeat.

When Daphne from faire Phoebus did flie,
The West winde most sweetly did blow in her face:
Her silken Scarfe scarce shaddowed her eyes,
The God cried, O pitie, and held her in chace..

Nice sound, beautifully played. I am just wondering why the conducter keeps on moving (rather frantically) in quavers, as you see this reflected as well in the body language of the players. This brings an active movement and unrest to the musical result, while this piece asks for complete calmness. How nice could it be if he would use a more 'choral' way of conducting: leave this excessive beating and just let the music be flowing. The orchestra seems to be fully capable of listening to each other and adapting to the 'go with the flow'. Worth a try?

What it looks like in the video and how conducting amateur players work in real life is different. Greetings from the conductor!

as I am a professional recorder player/teacher ánd have conducted several big (amateur)recorder ensembles during my career, so I know what I am talking about. I see and hear great potential in this orchestra and I realise how much work you have done in preparation of this performance and how much you have achieved. Compliments for this! I just was trying to imagine how much nicer it would sound ánd look when your direction was a bit calmer, eg, no 6 beats per bar but just two. In my experience a group can, after a thorough preparation and tecnical practise (which you obviously have done!) reach higher levels by just following their musicality, using their ears, imagination (Daphne is a nice example on that) and the 'common flow' they can reach together. I have encountered several times this feel of being 'lifted up' and I can garantee you: this is magical, as well for the conducter as the players.
