Sam, your videos are always my go to for foundation reviews. You are so detailed. I love that you list your shade in different foundation brands and that you actually show us your skin super up close; with and without flash. Thank you!
And this is why I watch you and love you! Your honesty is important, I’m happy to use affiliate links to buy things to help creators out, but if something doesn’t work for them I’d like them to be completely honest and transparent about it. That’s something we always get from you, in all the years I’ve watched you! Thank you 😊. It’s a shame it didn’t work out as it did look beautiful at first. But it’s the wear that’s important, most people will wear for 6-10 hours a day and nobody wants to look scaley and crusty halfway through the day!
I've got dry, mature skin and want this one. But my shade has been sold out for weeks. I have an Olive undertone, so even if I like a formula, they don't always have a shade match for me. My favorites now: *Kosas Foundation and Oil Tint *Dior Face and Body Foundation *Ilia Serum Tint *Rare Beauty Foundation I prefer light to medium coverage foundations.
I luved it when i tried it, im dry skin, i applied with my fingers straight, it helped really set it in like a skin tint but higher cover. Its one of my top faves right now
Love this foundation concealer combo. I have slightly oily skin and I still use this, but I don’t mind some shine. Works well with many other formulas of cheek products too. I color matched myself great too.
This is the best foundation I’ve used in years. I set it with the makeup forever setting powder (the newer one) and my face was flawless and it lasted so forever
I so appreciate your content especially when it comes to actually doing a long wear test. I've seen too many reviews of "first impression" and don't go into the longevity of a product. Your video has helped me decide not to buy it but rather get a sample to see if it works for my skin type.
My skin is very oily in the summer and very dry in the winter plus I have a lot of texture and mature skin and it does the opposite for me I also used it with the O/S primer but I love your honest thoughts and never be sorry just cause everyone else likes it doesn’t mean you have to
If you have oily skin don’t get it!!!!! I bought it and as my setting sprays and powder I put, it melted off and it emphasized my skin texture, after trying it a week I returned it to Sephora. 😅
@@elianamoored7975 Loreal Infallible Fresh Wear, tbh. Would not make you "oil-free" all day, but it doesn't f up after blotting; doesn't emphasize pores and texture.
I have mature oily skin (52 y.o) and i have never ever bought a dewy/radiant/glowy formula because my oily “radiance” always comes thru. Because I have large pores and fine lines, I try my best to apply thin thin layers of primer and setting powder , otherwise I will look cakey. I dont know why even mature YTers with oily skin endorse dewy/glowy/ radiant formulas.
@@midlifemom5829 Many of them can wear formulas like this w/ a mattifying primer and setting powder. There have actually been quite a few YTers w/ oily skin that have endorsed the Haus Labs foundation. The difference? They had enough sense to wear a primer. Many oily skin people also wear similar foundations, i.e. Armani Luminous Silk, Nars Light Reflecting, Too Faced BTW Natural Finish, etc. I have oily skin and I always wear a primer w/ any foundation including my matte finish foundations. It just makes sense because I don't want it separating or a lot of my oils coming through. Sam didn't wear a primer and also didn't use a great setting powder so I'm not surprised it didn't work well on her w/ her skin.
I didn't like the first time application on my face but but but but but!!! I decided to exfoliate, and serum/moisturized my oily combo face and then I applied it on my face with a sponge. I set it with powder. And after 10 hours....my skin still looked ok and no creasing. I really like it. I think I will keep the haus labs foundation for winter and wear a different foundation in the summer.
Thank you. I also have textured skin and I need to know what will play nicely with it; I'm sick of throwing money at things and hoping they work. You just saved me $45.

I’m considering this one and I’m so glad you uploaded because I’m usually a shade lighter than you. I have dry skin with an oily forehead and chin and I always prime so I may get this one just to try. Hopefully a primer will help!

Honestly, I noticed that, too. Didn't use a good powder and didn't use a primer at all. No wonder this foundation doesn't work well for her when many oily skin YTers are endorsing it.
