The HP30R V2 is my #1 SAR headlamp. If you look through the channel, I think I have five, maybe six videos on the product. Thank you.

Thanks. I'm not sure about recognition, other than being recognized as a fish-eyed fool as Aunt Ester would say (bonus points for anyone who understands the TV show reference :)

TK16v2 still the best light by a long way.
If you've ever seen an episode of "adventures with purpose" then you know why I wouldnt carry any other light.

I have one. It was one of the early reviews on the channel. Thanks.

Unfortunately, manufacturers have some stupid ideas and use built-in batteries 😳. And that's how you should care about ecology, but they don't care about it. In addition, when the battery runs out, you can't put in a second one, but you have to wait 1.5 hours for it to charge. No sense.

The magnet strength on the e35r seemed a little lacking. It was sliding down the metal frame when the guy was demo-ing it.

I really enjoy Fenix lights. My main edc has been the pd35 for almost 10 years, and it's stood up to a lot of falls/drops etc., and it's still going strong. I had started carrying a smaller light (streamlight micro stream) over the past year or so, and kept carrying the pd35 for more of a "tactical" light. I decided to go with a better suited light for my requirements of that role, and I ended up getting the Acebeam P16 for it's switch design, size, and candela...but I am not finished with Fenix and I will continue to buy their products and hold the company/brand in high regard.

I'll be reviewing the P17 Defender probably at the end of this week. Fenix is still the most-used brand over all my various Search and Rescue load outs. Sounds like you have a good collection. Thanks.

@@L5-SAR just thought I'd put it out there that after a month of use, the P16 tail switch has proven to be unreliable. I have it set to low/turbo mode and when I press the button for turbo the light tends come on in strobe for a few blinks and then turbo. It has also set itself back to strobe mode several times somehow in my pocket, and I had to reprogram it back to low/turbo. That's unacceptable for a tactical light, and Acebeam is off my list for that role as a result of the unreliability of the switch.

@@vitogriffin8902 I've had no problems with mine after substantial use. Interestingly, I had to replace the tail switch on my TK 16V2 after about three months. Sometimes, we just get shipped something that's a couple too many deviations out on the bell curve. It's a good data point in terms of seeing whether it's a fluke or systemic. One of the reasons it takes about nine months of consistent, hard use (including rain tests) before using it regularly in a load out. Thanks.

@@L5-SAR thanks. I haven't seen anyone having any issues in UA-cam, but I think the majority of them use the lights mostly for the review vids and not on a regular basis. I may see about replacing the tail cap. Until then, my search for a pocket-able, high candela tac light that doesn't cost $300 continues. I might go with the pd36r pro and not worry about the candela difference until I find my Goldie locks light.

@@vitogriffin8902 If you're looking at candela output at the high end, the burn-down is very aggressive on the PD36R from Turbo. I've been evaluating the Nitecore P23i for a couple months and so far, it's performed quite well. It's going to take several more months to make it to the end zone, so to speak, though :). Three reviews of that one are on the channel, including a long SAR exercise in very cold weather (at least for Texas). And, I beat on lights mercilessly. But, if I were searching for you and your life depended on it, I'd think you would want it that way. Actually, my life kind of depends on it too :)
