I love Fenix lights. I've had 5 so far, and they last forever. The quality is top notch, and type c charging put them ahead of the pack, in my opinion. I use my lights every day.

As a ship's engineer I love my LD30. It meets my 3 main requirements which are:
    1) Quite bright, 1600 turbo, which is enough for my work,
    2) The on-off switch is easy to use while being stiff enough so it doesn't turn on in my pocket, and
    3) It is small enough to easily fit in my pocket, 1 inch / 25mm diameter by 4.29 inch / 109 mm long

Since this is a smaller EDC flashlight intended for a greater range of tasks including up close work, we probably will keep more of a floodlight rather than make it more of a spotlight. Thanks for the feedback.

The E03R V2.0 will have 500 max lumens and a larger 400mAh battery. It will be slightly larger due to the bigger battery. We hope to have it available in April.

      @@FenixLightingUSA Perfect, thank you!
Thing is, i recently got a HM61R (i've been waiting for an updated version for a long time, but i decided to stop waiting, bad timing on my part), and i would love to know if the the new version is worth the upgrade.
As far as i know, it has direct access to the red LED, and i can live without that. Are there any other differences from the original version?
I need to start planning, to know if i should wait for it to launch, or if i can spend my money on someting else (probably other Fenix models).
By the way, my CL28R arrived a few days ago, and i am loving it so far, excellent product!
The tripod mount is a very useful feature for me, and it's not mentioned in the video.

@@rodrigodias6652 I currently do not have much information on it. Yes it will have a direct to red LED access and the max lumens should be a slight upgrade to 1600. Same 300 hour max runtime. Same magnetic charging port and size. All specs subject to change of course. The CL28R was a big hit at the show. We're glad you are loving it.

I love my Fenix HM65R-T Headlamp except that the headband is a bit short. I heard that a longer version was going to be introduced to rectify this, but have never been able to find such a longer headband. Has a longer headband every been made for it? Although this might in part be related to the adjustment system that I do like, it would seem that there should be enough room to include a longer headband even if that requires a slightly higher capacity reel. Depending on how tight I have it, I have between an extra 1/2 inch to 1 inch to the end of the strap when adjusted for my bare head. This does not provide enough room for wearing over a hat, much less a possible helmet in a SAR type outfit. Any info, and especially about such a longer strap, would be appreciated. Hope you had/have a good Shot Show. [Possibly the middle red strap on display; in any event that color.]

    • @FenixLightingUSA
      @FenixLightingUSA  2 роки тому

Unfortunately the largest size the HM65R-T will fit is around a 7 5/8 hat size. It is not intended to fit over a cap nor on a helmet. I recommend the standard HM65R if you are looking for a larger strap with included top strap. The headlamp's lighting specs are practically the same and the larger strap is helmet friendly.

I love Fenix lights and I'll keep buying them, but recently I finally made the decision to replace my old 2014 version pd35 (that has been my edc the entire time and still works fine) with something better suited for a "tactical" role because I went from 1 "do everything" light to having a smaller utility light coupled with a dedicated tactical/special purpose light...well, I ended up going with a different brand (Acebeam P16) for the job because the Fenix tactical lights, while I'm sure are good, are a little large for the pocket or low in candela or have side mode switches so I didn't see one that hit all the marks for me, but the 20r v2 was the closest thing to what I was looking for. I feel like the truly pocket-able tactical, high candela light with a good tail switch (dual tail switch is fantastic) is a sparse area for all manufacturers, and the "best" ones are the modlite and cloud which sit at pretty ridiculous price points. The Acebeam is a fair competitor to them, and performance wise beats the surefire and streamlight competition, at a fair price, but I sure wish Fenix would do one similar to the tk20r v2 but a little smaller and with a tad bit more candela even at the cost of some overall lumens, or the 36r pro with a 1.20"-1.25" head with higher candela at it's current lumen output. I'll probably end up getting the 20r v2 anyway and keep it in or on a pack, but after all these years it feels strange not having a Fenix in my pocket and putting that kind of trust into a company that I don't know.

We're sure sorry to lose your business over a 1/4 of an inch in head size, but we get it, if it's not what you want, it's not what you want. Hopefully we can earn your business back with a different type of light or headlamp in the future.

@@FenixLightingUSA oh I'm still going to buy Fenix for other purposes, but to be fair, it's not just about the head size. The 20 v2 is over 6 inches long and has a head size that's just not pocket friendly; it wasn't designed to be an every day pocket tac light and that's ok.. the offerings that are pocket friendly lack the candela I'm looking for, and are more of an all purpose utility light. I mentioned making the 36r pro head slightly bigger because then the candela could be increased, and that along with it's dual tail switch would make it a better tac light while still fitting in a pocket. What many manufacturers are making are either throwers with massive heads, or general purpose pocket lights, which may be what most of the market wants, but a lot of people like that 55-60,000 ish candela with usable spill that can be worn in the pocket comfortably on a daily basis.

@@jerryrocketandthegogogirls3517 I'm sure I will. It's in my Amazon cart just waiting.. it just surpasses the limit of what I will carry in my pocket, and the ones in my pocket are what I actually use. I might just eat the bulk and stuff it in my pocket anyway, who knows. 1 1/4 inch head size is where they start getting annoying every time I reach in my pocket for something though.

Fenix flashlights have a fatal flaw. The mode module on the circuit board is held in place with a rubber cement to absorb drop impact. After a time it becomes brittle causing it to dislodge from the circuit board upon even light impact. As little as 24inches? This leaves you with an $80 paperweight. These things are in no way reliable if they can't withstand a drop from waist high onto a hard surface. The electronics are NOT shock resistant. The unit in question is a PD35.
