The most ever i got was a 20 litre bucket overflowing in one cast, left the rest in the net on the waters edge. Ran home with my bucket spilling prawns all the way, and grabbed the big wheel barrow and headed back down to the beach. Three more casts and i was struggling to push the wheel barrow up the beach. I couldn't believe how many prawns in only a few cast of the net. All nice big prawns that run. I never found them that thick again, the next best prawning was with a drag net , one drag and nearly filled the wheel barrow there was so many in the net we couldn't pull it in until some people came and helped. This was a while ago not to far up the road from where you are.

@@buzzythaosadventures7580 I'm only 2000km away now. So I hope you catch my share this prawn season. They will only get bigger from now on, another month or so if you can find them they will be much bigger.

Hi thanks for watching and yeah i agree😁 been trying to target flatty for years with no luck like down south. Iv given up and all flattys now are just bycatch like this one. Targeting flatty in cairns is very tough in my experience.

@@user-pl1mz7mc9h no the tide is too low. Go about 8am tomorrow before the tide gets too high and you run out of beach
Any regulated fish undersize or not caught in a cast net must be released.
