  • The new Fender Player Series has everything that a guitar player could want, whether a beginner, intermediate level, or professional gigging guitarist. These bold instruments pack a ton of great tone and features into a price that is affordable and a playability that can't be beat.
    Our guy, Aram Feriants takes the time to put the new Player Series Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde through it's paces!

    The spirited tone of this guitar comes from a new set of pickups specially designed for the Player Series. Its two single-coil Player Series Telecaster pickups are made with Alnico 5 magnets for enhanced tonal clarity and response, and add a new layer of Tele twang right at your fingertips. The Player Tele also adds a 22nd fret for more range than ever before, while a string-through-body bridge prioritizes playability and sustain for an overall exceptional playing experience. Plus, the four-bolt "F" logo neck plate, spaghetti-logo headstock, and authentically-contoured body add another layer of genuine Fender vibe. Thanks to articulate tone, exceptional Fender feel, and the unmistakable overall vibe of the Telecaster, this Player Series model is a remarkable instrument that’s ready for the taking.

    I just purchased one of these yesterday. I started playing at 7, but the first guitar I purchased with my own money was in 1995 at the age of 15 after slaving away in Dairy Queen. It was a Fender Telecaster Standard. It was black with a white guard on it (The one I purchased yesterday is exactly the same). That thing went everywhere with me for quite a few years. It was pretty worn after playing in a band and getting lugged around with no case, but I LOVED it and the more worn it got, the more I loved it. It disappeared sometime during my military service. I feel like I bought a piece of my youth. I don't know why I told that story, it just felt good to tell it. Great playing here! I have been back a couple times just to listen!

    I've had the 2019 for a month now. Pickups sound good and musical with a VERY good build quality. It feels and plays like a more expensive guitar. Plays beautifully BTW. I also compared it to the Professional series. The build quality and playability is about the same and tone wise I thought the Professional was slightly more refined. But, the Players tones were more usable without having to use EQ and boost pedals that the Professional might need. I'm no expert but if you're looking for a SOLID telecaster that's a joy to play and have $674 you can't go wrong. Just get it, thank me later.

      i feel better with telecaster...it ain't just the tone (which is awesome) but the feeling of playing it too...i own three tele's, two of them are the 50's model in butterscotch finished...i played this model fender player serie in a shop but the the set-up was a disaster, so i ordered the squier classic vibe and i have to say that it is awesome not just for the price, it is awesome by itself as a guitar...as it is, you will always nail it with fender...or even gretsch....it always depends on your expression as a guitarist, i love les paul being played by other people but it doesn't work that fine in my hands

    This guy.... my good! Would easily sacrifice my left foot to jam like that!!!! Wild! Have that tele player myself, its good! But the nut Was superlow from start=buzz. Had to Change to tusq nut! And those bad toggle switch tips, came loose at once. Cheap stuff but otherwise im satisfied. The output isnt the highest but it sounds clean!

    Everybody , listen to me : this guitar is a rock machine , but can do a lot of différents style. It's my main guitar. I tried an American performer serie today , and my Mexican is better in the distortion , and similar for others point. Go buy a telecaster player serie

    Wow, you are an amazing guitar player. I get a lot of string rattles on my 2018 Fender Telecaster players Series, so I raised the string up at the 18th fret to 4/64" and this reduced the rattle 90%. The other 10% is I have a hard plucking picking action to get that Twang, and the rattle is there when plucking. However, I am no expert, and wonder, if the rattle is something else, so I gave the neck a little more relief. But, that did not seem to help. I am starting to believe that all Telecasters have string rattle. What do you think?

    • @montag4516
      @montag4516 5 років тому

      Are you sure the rattle is from the frets? If it's a raspy or buzz rattle it could be coming from somewhere else. The rattles can transfer up/down from the string making it difficult to locate the source of the noise. Check and make sure every single screw and nut on the guitar, including the bridge and tuners, are tight, snug and secure. You really shouldn't require high action unless there is a high fret or the guitar requires proper setup of truss rod and all.
