It depends how you are folding the seats, but it is probably better without the Arm Rest. However, the Armrest unit can be removed by undoing the grub screw and sliding it off the seat, so you could always to this and store it under the seat when camping in the car. I hope that helps
To the extent of my knowledge there isn't, sorry. With this Armrest you can still use the cup holders below for everything except super large cups or flasks. I hope that helps

The Jimny shown in this video has seat air bags - these do not interfere with the armrest installation!
