Great selection, Chris, even if I didn't try everything on your table...Delord has a 130th anniversary release called "Epopée" but i alas hadn't tried it yet & it is a high end expensive bottle (including vintages from 1900 to 2004) but I guess you'll like it. World whiskies wise, if it happens you watch my (too long for most people, unlike yours, always incredibly concise I had to say) video about Whisky Live Paris show, you'll discover that this year there was an unseen & huge presence of French distilleries (there is a boom currently here since a few years even more, with the arrival of Cognac & Calvados producing distilleries searching in this new whisky realm/market...) & some exotic offers you might enjoy too (from Danemark & India, especially, I would say). Big Scottish & Irish players are still there, but I have to say that often those world distilleries bring some fresh air in my opinion, with more audacious approaches...Cheers & Happy Christmas to you ! 🥃
Awesome information (as usual) Greg! Hopefully everyone reading this will check out your channel! @gregswhiskyguide always has great knowledge and foresight on what’s headed our way here in the states! Happy Holidays and cheers! 🥃
Very kind of you, Chris@@LiquorHound thanks a lot 🙏 Gin wise, if you can find it, I highly recommend Jaisalmer Indian craft Gin "Gold Edition" especially (made by the same people that run Rampur whisky distillery) it did blew me away this year & it is now in my collection (review soon)
I’ve been really liking The Irishman whiskies as of late. They were a tad inconsistent in their early days, but imo have been out performing the standard Redbreasts as of late. Give them and The Whistler’s a try. Thank you for being here and cheers! 🥃
For the past 7 years, I have enjoyed your end-of-the-year spirits review. Thank you again for taking the time, spending the money, and sharing your thoughts with all of us. I greatly appreciate your perspective and it helps me select my next blessed bottle.
I really appreciate long time viewers like yourself! You’re very welcome and I’m glad my videos are still able to help consumers like you. Have a happy holidays and cheers! 🥃
Hi again Chris, that's it, not without difficulties & mistakes (corrected in the description one has mandatorily to read) my "Highlights of the Year 2023 (Whisky & other Spirits)" is now out, released, and it is divided in 2 videos (42 mn + 1h32) with time stamps/chapters in the description I speak about 100+ releases briefly...(it was such a nightmare to do frankly next year I'll simplify it at the max). The whole series is dedicated to your yearly series work, btw, so I hope some day you'll save time to see it, Cheers !
Lol, thank you for being here and that’s what my channel has always been about. Great bottles without any hype or marketing money behind it. Thank you for being here and cheers! 🥃
Bravo! Been waiting for this. That Rossville Union Rye is a SLEEPER. Loads of layered flavor with those barrel proof store picks. Can still find them in Indiana, but might be difficult in other areas.
Young Scottish Single Malts have really been doing well as of late. Even the new distillery releases have been surprisingly good. The single cask selections in the 10-12 year range have also been solid and “clean” - meaning if matured/finished in sherry casks, they’re mostly free of sulphur notes. Thank you for the great question and cheers! 🥃
I guess I’ve been lucky this year. All of the ones I’ve sampled (probably 8-10) have been solid. They do get varying levels of that “old school - dusty” machine oil note every now and then. But I love it when modern Bourbons remind me of the ones from the past. Thank you for the comment and cheers! 🥃
Rare Breed NCF is way cheaper by me, going from NY to Canada and back. Paid 33 USD or so, I think it was 45 Canadian. Luckily the bridge is 15 minutes from my house, can easily replenish mine 😊.
It was a rough year for Islay and Campbeltown imo. There was peat, but the distillery blends seemed younger and less balanced than in the past. If I were to go off memory, and quickly choose, the biggest bang for my buck was the Campbeltown Loch bottlings. I thank you for that comment and wish you a great holiday season! Cheers! 🥃
@@LiquorHound i haven't yet but definitely want to. They are full sherry maturation with the partial koji fermented barley. The abv is a bit low at 42% though.
Always look forward to these every year! Great job Chris. Thank you for all that you do.
You’re very welcome! Happy Holidays and cheers! 🥃
I look forward to this all year. Thanks LH!
I was going to write this exact comment!
You're welcome! Have a great 2024 and cheers!

Very interesting. Haven't come across 'The Irishman' Whiskey yet. How does it compare to say Redbrest? Thanks for your work.

I agree. So many bag on Henry McKenna 10; I've enjoyed everyone i've had.
What a great review! I really enjoy your content and you can drink like a king by following these suggestions instead of following the hive.

Merry xmas everyoneee & liquor hound!! ☃️🍻🥃👍👌✌️😎
Happy new year and cheers!
Thank you so much- i do look forward to your year end picks- then i hunt all the next year to get them- never been let down
I’m happy to hear that! Thank you for always being here and cheers! 🥃

Thank you and enjoy those picks! Cheers! 🥃
Gotta love that clairin sajous 😉, the bhakta was really really good too
Ohhh, I know you love the flavor bombs! 😁 Thank you for being here and I wish you a wonderful holiday season! Cheers chef! 🥃
More videos like this with favorite picks or top lists, really a good one
I think I will. Stay tuned and cheers! 🥃
I believe the Dewars 32yo is the one finished in PX. The one your are holding (21yo) is finished in Oloroso. I could be wrong!
I just love ur videos. Ur narration is really friendly.
Your comment is much appreciated! Thank you and I wish you a wonderful holiday season! Cheers! 🥃
Much respect to your knowledge and selection...I will search for some Canadian, Found North whiskey, for our lake house on Lake Erie, Canada. Cheers!
Very nice! Enjoy them and cheers!
Suerte Anejo tastes like a bunch of additive flavorings to me. Or maybe they use wet casks or something.
I might have to try the bahkta. I am sure the others are great, however my bank account is not set up for most of those selections. Lol.
Favorite year end wrap up on youtube
Much appreciated! I’m glad you’re here and that you enjoyed it! Happy holidays and cheers!
finally
Thanks for another great year end wrap!
Ive debated for over a year if that dewars 21 would be worth the $99….Hound just cost me $99 🤣
Great list and vid Chris!!
Merry Christmas 🎄
My bad. 🤗 But you’ll love it! 😁 Happy holidays and cheers! 🥃
Wow....its been a while.....a lot of new selections to look for! Thanks!
You’re welcome and cheers!
Were you able to try the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C923? Thoughts on it?
I did and I loved it! It’s a Top 3 in that line since the squatty “pirate bottles”. Cheers!
What was the spirit you enjoyed most this year? Not the specific bottle just the spirit type :).

We missed you Chris.
I spirit in my life
Love the recommendations! I’m going to hunt for that Roseville.
Always great suggestions but I that Mckenna unless it's changed is very much a hit or miss gamble

@@LiquorHound cheers. I'll give it another try
Wish I could get Pulga in my area
They're starting to expand out. Hopefully they'll make it to you in a year. Thank you for watching and cheers!
Thanks for this information LH. We appreciate it.
I got the dewar's 32 this year for my 32nd birthday. Man it is good stuff
Ohh! That 32 is very good! The pricing has been getting out of hand, but it is quality. Happy (belated) Birthday and cheers! 🥃
@@LiquorHound thanks! It was high but I didn’t know of another chance that I could have a spirit as old as I was.

At that price you might as well give them as gifts! 🎁😁
Thanks for the suggestions LH! I’m hoping to start a collection of my own and will use your advice. Happy Holidays!
Happy holidays and cheers!

I always appreciate you putting some more accessible bottles on these lists.
Helpful for those of us on a budget.
Thank you and happy holidays! 🥃
Great Suff Chris!
Thank you! I’m looking forward to sharing more spirits with you soon! Happy Holidays and cheers! 🥃
YESSSSSS!!! One of my favorite videos of the year!!! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it and cheers! 🥃
I have a Dewars 27…worth picking up the 21 as well?
Definitely! Take care and cheers!
My favorite videos of the year! Always hunt some these bottles after these best of videos

I haven’t yet. What did you think of them?
