Just got my rear sway bar today. It made a huge difference. Thankyou very much for this video. I would have never thought a sway bar on this kind of rig, but it changed everything and I'm loving this wendigo build now! Keep up the great work.
Did you put the old rear sway at on the front. I love this truck. I have a sensor forms 2100 motor and on 3s it’s perfect. I still get a little twist. Trying to get the parts to try it out but stock is backordered.
This is a video of someone pushing a crawler like truck past it’s limits. What will I see next? Perhaps a buggy’s chassis breaking without the car being driven at all? Oh... that happened to me yesterday.
Thinking about someday getting the Wendigo kit and putting a HW AXE system in it. I really want a rock racer type truck and this seems to be the only 1/10 scale option.
If the swaybar was so ineffective, then why didn't you choose the endlink positions that had less leverage over the torsion bar? It's on the softest setting...
Exocaged RC I don’t know what you mean by locked up? Wouldn’t comparing the stock bar on stiffest setting to the reefs on its softest better show off its value?
Sweet Buld my friend...I can totally appreciate how you stepped it up and added a front sway bar too... what a cool idea whereas you see a lot of those on actual full size rigs. I would love to see you do a video on new beadlocks that fit that truck...my best freind who is brand new to the hobby just bought one . Both you and I sold him on it...I sent him links to your vids about the wendigo and he was hooked and subscribed
Just get some 15mm hex extensions and you can run any wheel you want. Im running a set of 1.9 aluminum beadlocks with proline boggers. They are huge 5.5 inch tall tires as well.
Love the crawler and don't own one yet. What crawler would you suggest for my first crawler buy? Please let me know your opinion on this. Thanks and love the video.
@@ExocagedRC I just watched your last video with that really technical course. Well I guess I'm going to have to look into buying the TRX4 for sure. Thanks for the suggestion.
The wendigo looks like a good all around or first decent rc. I bought a redcat (volcano) as my first rc getting back into the hobby.I wish I would of bought this instead. Then I just yesterday got a jlb 21101 to replace the redcat and OH MY!! The 21101 is a AWESOME rc basher. Now I want a crawler, and have my eyes on the trx4 sport! 1000$ in 1 month on rc toys isn't a bad idea right??? haha
@@ExocagedRC That is good. At least I am normal and not some weirdo that thinks buying toys is a not so great idea.Trx4 sport you will be mine!! (then the xmaxx)
Nice kit I would have tried to mot the swaybar to the front of the chassis so no chance of the link top link bolt hitting the spring as if you want to stiffen it up how you mounted it the only hole you can use is the end one as the others will hit the spring if you try to use it, if you can't move it to the front you should have moved the cross bar end nearer to the front but still behind the shock's, then you can use all three adjustment holes, very informative though.
good point, I did test it on the innermost hole and it did touch the spring a bit but wasn't a hard hit. That was on the table and driving hits seem to move things a bit more than on a table
That sway bar setup looks great comared to stock. Always seem to learn some thing or get an idea from your vids. Do u think I could make it fit a TRX4? I'm not afraid to modify if needed.
I like his stuff and no not all of it is rebranded. The haters love to hate on anything that’s not their favorite brand... of rebrands...Andy is one of them.
@@ExocagedRC Exactly right! Haters love to hate redcat now that redcat is AS GOOD as axial, & all other brands. The odd part is, redcat came out with portal axles BEFORE axial. H8r's gonna h8! LOL!

Hey man, thanks for your Wendigo videos, I just bought one and it’s nice to see what I’m in for.
The wendigo is a awsome truck wanting to get one badly that or a gen8
hey you didnt show installation of front sway bar
How did you put the front sway bar on it

Thanks for the video to day.... My baby was just born to day and I cant sleep
Congrats! Hopefully you can get some sleep in. Look im only a teenager but I can only imagine how hard it must be.
Congrats man!! You should be watching baby videos lol
Congrats on the newborn
Congrats my RC friend
Congrats! Future RC driver... My oldest is now getting into RC cars... Proud papa

What sway bar you running on the front? Reefs front and rear?
stock rear on front, reefs on rear
@@ExocagedRC Thanks
Harder to twist a short bar than it is a long bar...yes that made complete sense
I see a huge difference just watching it stay composed now. Jumps exactly like a monster truck too.
Digging that harbor freight caliper 😉

Great idea on the sway bars...
Nice video. I love all the shiny metal upgrades. They look so nice. Especially those vitavon diff housings for the mojave.
I agree! Those ran great this past weekend. I didn't get any of the oval racing I did with it but it ran awesome.
Would you need a controller card to switch to crawler mode, to tone the power a bit ?
Looks bout the same to me. Maybe try some thicker shock fluid. Like 80 to 90 weight
Nah man I want it to absorb. Go too thick on oil and the shocks get so slow that they don’t react quick enough and throw the truck around more.
It would also fix alot of the torque with bout 80% of your trucks
If the swaybar was so ineffective, then why didn't you choose the endlink positions that had less leverage over the torsion bar? It's on the softest setting...
because I had a plan to put both bars on it, I don't want it locked up.
Exocaged RC I don’t know what you mean by locked up?

The stock bar was thin & mounted in plastic. Plastic from the rear bumper mount.

did your friend ever find any beadlocks that fit the truck? I'm still searching around myself. I still have the original plastic wheels.
Great upgrade but have u tried moving the outer most link to the inner link I’m Gonna try it on mine

Well several great buys out there. Traxxas TRX4 is probably the strongest and most upgradable out there.

The swaybar, same one you put on the Scx-10 3?
yes same thing
🙌😃
That looks like it works great......I wanted to ask what is that ramp you are using and is it wide enough for a x maxx
Those are just bike ramps yeah you can put an Xmaxx over them
tks bud im looking to get a ramp just wanted to make sure it wide enough.
Drive shaft name
Amazingly enough I haven't broken them yet.

You seem to have a lot of reefs products. I don’t know that company, is it big or just 1 guy? The products look really good.
