    The fact that people can go through the legal system once and then still think its a good idea to talk to cops without a lawyer absolutely flabbergasts me. The only two things you should ever say to the police are "do you have a search or arrest warrant?" And "I want a lawyer". Anything more than that is either snitching on yourself or giving them reasons to say you did something. Doesnt matter how innocent you are, the police are not there to help.

    If you're ever in this situation at all, here's my advice: DON'T SPEAK BUT TO SAY I WANT A LAWYER EVEN IF YOU ARE INNOCENT, or Legal Aid from a Civil Attorney if you can't afford one. Usually at the point where they bring you in for questioning they are testing you, getting a baseline and comparing the answers they get with what they already know. In the end they will always get you.

      While that's perfectly true and would had been a great idea, it probably wouldn't have made a difference on the street side of things. You know, the part where he gets out and someone pops him.
      I'm willing to guess whatever his involvement actually was in the crime, guilty or not, the one popping him didn't try to listen as hard as the police.
      Lawyer up, but if you don't, second best option is to be straight up spitting facts. From my cozy armchair sofa, acknowledging I don't have all the facts either way, my impression is he was at minimum showing loyalty to his friends with this selective memory, later saying he was there and this and that.
      I'm just venting my thoughts. Well wishes!

      @@QuitLifeTV I'm telling you, if the detectives are hellbent on pinning something on you, especially with how persistent they were to getting a confession from this man, then they're going to try to put you away. They say they want "the truth" but what they mean is they want you to confess to something to fit their narrative. And you usually don't know who you're going to get as a detective. You don't know if you're going to get a straight shooter or a deceptive detective. So I'm telling you you can't say anything to the police, because no matter what you know as the truth, if they've got certain ulterior motives and certain pieces to back it up, then your innocence means nothing to them. So it's best to play your cards right from the start and just don't talk and ask for a lawyer, because innocent people have gone to prison for murder all the time because of detectives like these.

    • @QuitLifeTV
      @QuitLifeTV Рік тому +4

      @@XeresKyle As I said, I agree 100% with getting a lawyer, and innocent people get into trouble due to how things are done to be sure.
      I think he acted very mature and cordial up until he started fishing for snitches, which I get why he would, guilty or not, but it's not a nice look regardless. And when after the break he changes his tune and manners well.. Lying about the cars, etc.
      They don't need you to confess if you did nothing. But if you don't say what you saw, like for instance if your homeboy shot some people up next to you, then you're on the hook for at least aiding and abetting.
      It might not help with saying what happened, but if you talk without a lawyer, and start saying stuff that isn't true, then that will reflect poorly guaranteed.
      Ulterior motives, I can see that sometimes, but on the other side people scream at police if they do their job well or not. It's all perspective, but they are humans as well and can do all kinds of stuff, but they record stuff so we can check them out.

They knew going in that he was gonna be charged and all that buddy buddy s-t did nothing but lock homeboy into a story that they could use against him. By the time he threatened to ask for an attorney it was already too late.

    They sacrificed this young dude. He was just tryna have some fun, andneven followed the street code and didnt snitch. The street dudes know he wasnt a street dude, and was a square, so they lie snitched on him. Put all the blame on him, and then killed him cuz he was out on bail and could still be a witness to prove it wasnt him. Thats a real life sacrifice of a Nice young Man that haf a Future. This was sad to see, and the fact that he didnt tell lets us know that hes more solid then they are. He was a "True Friend" and they never had real love for him. Jealous of his journey in sports, and being able to get out of the hood through college. He was showing them he was a true friend by not telling.
    The other anology would be that they thought that he told because he was bailed out of jail, and because they thought he wouldnt hold it down, and he did. He really did, and now they have to watch this video and burn for it. This will haunt them FOREVER. Yaw killed the man that probably wouldve helped ALL OF YAW out when he made it!!!
