I find Gyutaro and Daki's relationship to be such a dark parallel to that of Tanjiro and our precious Nezuko.
Both groups looked for a saviour and were products of their environment when in their darkest moment. Giyu and the Hashira representing the light when saving our protagonists, whilst Douma and Demon's representing the darkness when 'saving' Gyutaro and Ume.
Tragic.

Akaza, Daki, and Gyutoro deserved better, better people around them or at least to go to heaven. They say that Daki stabbed the Samurui in eye because he was talking sh*t about her brother

The ironic thing is, even though Kokushibo never suppressed Yoriichi, he ended having the one thing Yoriichi wanted the most: a family. And he threw that away due to his jealousy of Yoriichi.
Kokushibo is also known as the Hashira Killer. I don't know how many Hashira he killed, but I assume it must range in the dozens.

Yeah, it's terrible. Each brother had what the other wanted. Kokushibo or Michikatsu at the time, had a family, I think it was healthy? Until he left, and Yorrichi had power, strength and will. It's sad.
What's touching about daki and gyutaro, is that, despite gyutaro being despised for being ugly, he never resented daki for being beautiful all the things he could've been since they were siblings
Kokushibo and Akaza would be great friends Kokushibo carry's himself like a honorable samurai and Akaza has his own honor code of not killing women so I could see them getting along great.
Matter of fact they do, kokushibo respects akaza very much cuz he likes him. When akaza and kokushibo battled and kokushibo won, he didn't absorb akaza instead let him live and tell him to work hard, become strong and again battle him. Also kokushibo said that "AKAZA WHY DID YOU DIE BEFORE DEFEATING ME" like a Friendly rival

Akaza’s backstory is so relatable because a lot of people just want to be strong enough to protect their loved ones and keep them safe. Having that torment inside him only drove him further into becoming such a strong demon

Agreed. My friend doesn’t like him, but I love him. He never asked to be a demon, but it was forced onto him. He lost his memories, but still kept Koyuki close to his heart. Some of his attacks have snow designs and names containing “Yuki” from Koyuki, which means “Snow” in Japanese.

*Hakuji/Akaza didn't deserve any of that, he was a hard working, Kind hearted person. Who didn't care what would happen to him as long as he could protect his loved ones. He even held onto some of his humanity because he refused to Attack or kill Women or Children. He even didn't wanna fight or kill Rengoku Kyojuro, He offered to make him into a demon. Even when he wad fighting Giyuu and Tanjiro, he acknowledged their power and potential. And before he took his own life after seeing Koyuki. He gave Tanjiro a warm smile and refused to regenerate. And constantly was apologizing to Koyuki, Kaezo and his Father for the things he done. But Koyuki stayed by his side and so did his Family. He went out as an Honorable Soldier and was reincarnated as a wonderful student in Kimestu Academy.*

Am I the only one who thought that Douma’s backstory was hilarious? The idea of grown adults crying and asking what they should do with their lives, only for it to cut to an actual child sitting on a throne is meme material. Also I found his reaction to his parents dying so funny. We hear the tragic way they died and he’s just like “ok, but did you have to be such a slob about it?”
Douma’s backstory is genuinely a dark comedy. Like his parents were so stupid and for what.
Not only the fact that it’s a literal child who is worshipped as a god by these adults, but Douma also thinks to himself how stupid these people are for coming to a child to answer their problems.

man, after learning about kokoshibo’s backstory, it further proves how far jealousy and hatred can drive someone. that’s why it is important to accept your strengths and weaknesses because that’s what makes you who YOU are. you should never aspire to be better than someone, only a better you. 🙏🏾

Kokushibo put Akaza in his place in the Upper Moon meeting but I think he respects Akaza because just like him he actually trains like a normal human while the other upper moons just devour humans to get stronger

Daki and Gyutaro along with Akaza were the most saddest backstories Gyutaro neglected people discriminate him and bully him Daki getting burned alive Akaza losing his father her soon to be wife and father in law were the real pain where real human cruelty was really shown
but all akaza did was mass murder and doughnut creation

Honestly, I love Akaza and Doma best of all the demons, but for different reasons.
Akaza is tragic, interesting, with a beautiful and bittersweet ending.
Doma is such a narcissist and an evil person, even as a human, but he's so down for putting on an act and being a complete ass-hat that I love to hate him. Both I enjoy exponentially for very different reasons. I can't wait until Doma is fully introduced into the anime and not just hinted at with.
Also, a close third was definitely Gyutaro. His love and dedication to Daki is so sad and sweet, and I totally cried like a baby when Daki went to hell with him instead of going to the after life.

Muzan’s backstory is more like a vampire’s because he meet an old doctor who did a whole bunch of stuff to him and he turned into a monster on the next full moon and the doctor said that Muzan could not go out in the sun anymore. Plus he’s got Zan in his name which sounds like Von (Muzan Von Kibutsuji) soooo yeah, totally a Dracula’s backstory

Douma is actually the only Upper Moon that could possible beat Kokushibou. Douma's ability to generate clones of himself, that are equal of his power allows him to multiply his strength into how many he'd want, and his Blood Demon Art is a huge counter to Kokushibou's Moon Breathing, thus, will force him to use other techniques himself.
Ur not wrong but u gotta remember Akaza + Douma = 75% of Kokushibo’s power

But, I was pertaining to Douma's ability to create countless clones of himself, with that he might have the chance to overpower Kokushibou. Although, I don't really think Douma craves for position that much.

He was a psychopath and that's not something that could have been cured. He could have handled it better, but he lacked guidance. His Story isn't sad
Although Douma's back story wasn't the saddest, his parents were idiots and they unintentionally created a psychopath, and Douma lacked guidance as a child because of that Douma thought that killing his followers would free them from their miserable lives.
Akaza/Hakuji origin story is my favorite. Such a great story. He cared and had compassion for those he loved even after being dealt a bad hand in life. Most of his violent actions as a human were in defense of people he loved. Not going to lie I was balling 😭 when I read book 18. My favorite of the series, and I cannot wait for it to be animated.

The Other Reason why I love Kokushibo it's because his backstory answered a lot of Lore. Including the Breath of the Sun, the Breathing styles, the Marka and the Transparent world all answered with a few holes in it.
Obviously Akaza's backstory clears the rest but I liked Doma's a lot

Akaza and kokushibo are the real chads. Like, they only died cuz they had a code of honor and stuff. Even The combined efforts of giyuu,tanjiro,muichiro,sanemi genya, and gyomei, THE strongest hashira, weren't enough. Imagine what would've happened if akaza and kokushibo didn't kill themselves. Kokushibo could have still been the 2nd strongest demon ever and akaza could have even surpassed douma. I mean other than muzan, kokushibo and akaza are the only 2 demons who can regenerate their heads even after getting beheaded. But srsly tho, MAD RESPECT😤

For the people who don't know kokushibo's heart was not in the right place it was jealousy of yoriichi in the manga, u can see he remembered his brother and regretted killing his descendant,muichiro so he is good

I love how all the Upper Moons have powers based on their vices or lives from when they were humans, like how Hantengu lied about his identity for years he can split into different clones of himself. Doma is perhaps an exception as he's absolutely crazy.

Both Kokoshibou and Akaza's backstory was my favourite, Akaza never said he wanted to be a demon so for all we know, he doesn't want to be a demon. And Kokoshibou, Jealousy, a horrible thing.

Ever since i saw kokushibou looking exactly like yoriichi i thought kokushibou was yoriichi as a demon and started trying to find sites to read the manga online but couldn't find any but this vid helped me and now i know kokushibou is just yoriichi's twin and i also learned why yoriichi is so strong
it's insane how everything is connected in this story. truly a masterpiece.
Anime only won't agree but akaza is the best, he didn't wanted to be demon but was angry bcz everyone who he loved was taken from him, he hated humanity for it. He had no reason to live but didn't wanna die and avenge his love from humanity. It's just sad he had to cope up with all of this.

Lol douma was lucky that he was psychopath or else anyone would just break in his position. Douma being a real psychopath helped douma not been affected by his parents activities. If douma wasn't a psychopath, he would have ended up as a sociopath which would be very damaging for society as sociopath can be easily angered causing them to do violence acts.
i feel bad for kokushibo, he tried his best and worked his hardest but he just couldn’t beat yoriichi at anything he kept trying but eventually jealousy took over and he became a demon just to become stronger he well surpassed all the hashira and everyone else he kept trying to get stronger and after all that time he fought yoriichi and still lost he mustve felt like he was weak and couldn’t do anything about it, no matter how hard he trained or how many sacrifices he made his life was ruined and he lived 400 years of regret and anger

I’ve said this before on another video, but it’s funny how those who became demons were traumatized by humans, while those who became demon slayers were traumatized by demons
I’m an oddball but I feel bad for (child) Douma. He obviously had some early mental issues that were severely neglected when he was a kid. It was accentuated from cult members trauma dumping on him, and he grew up to become a monster. He became a demon because he had nothing, and was bored. Not a single person genuinely loved him & took care of him, and oddly enough the one person that might have, Inosuke’s mom, was the one person he refused to kill until he had to (even if he was indifferent to it). He even brutally murdered her abusive husband and mother in law in the taisho secrets and refused to eat them to “save them from suffering” like he does with other people.
People forget the other part of his character when it comes to his indifference to life. He doesn’t just not feel things, and is ok with hurting people, BUT also believes life is meaningless & is perfectly okay with dying at any point. He applies his nihilistic logic to himself. He’s kinda suicidal & reflects that onto other people.

Search Chibi Douma Plush. Also douma is just sick the way he fights so nonchalantly. He just doesn’t care about anything bc he can’t feel anything. I wonder if he is Clinically Apathetic or has Alexithymia, both of which are complete lack of emotion. Bonus fact, did you know that 1/10 people has Alexithymia?

@@ChromaWRLD999 I think Douma has multiple problems, and yes Alexithymia is probably one of them. Alexithymia isn’t a complete lack of emotion, but an inability to describe and identify them which Douma def has.

Kokoshibo and Akaza are probably the saddest demons back story the fact that Kokoshibo kept the flute and I felt so bad for Akaza
Edit: the reason why I said i felt bad for akaza was because his backstory and everything when he died from killing himself me and my sister cried I felt so bad for him I was literally crying when it showed his backstory

It’s amazing how a lot of the demons and the demon slayers are connected in many ways. One of the many reasons I love this series. Great writing by the mangaka

If you think about it, muzan *kinda* did do some good by giving the uppermoons a better life then they had previously when they were human, as most of there backstories are truly tragic and would have died if not for muzan.
Fun fact: Akaza regularly talks to his victim so he doesn’t feel lonely.

You forgot to mention in Kokushibo's story that when he turned into a demon he Killed the current Oyakata- sama at that Era. And from that on The Ubuyashiki clan became Hidden to the outside world.
also that he killed so many Hashiras he is called the Hashira killer.

I think Kokushibo and Yoriichi's story is the best because it shows how it transforms into the Ying and Yang dynamic. But Akaza's story is really good also. But ultimately upper moon one has the best story

The only family he had contact with after his demonization was his descendant, Muichiro. And due to seeing how impressive he was, he wanted him to become a demon as well. Muichiro refused and ended up giving his life to help take Kokushibo down.
If you think about it, the Upper moons are basically an extension of all of Muzan's worst traits.
Gyutaro: Born with a "cursed" body and has extreme hatred/envy for those who he believes are just born lucky.
Kaigaku: Acts like he's superior but is secretly a coward who fears death and cares only for his own self-preservation.
Gyokko: Narcissist and vain. Sees people as mere objects for his twisted experiments.
Hatengu: constantly blames everyone but himself. Sends his lackeys to fight in place for him out of cowardice.
Nakime: Kills others with no remorse for her own personal rewards.
Akaza: Short tempered and has violent rage issues. Hates weaklings
Douma: Has no empathy or feelings of guilt. Believes his crazy actions are correct.
Kokushibo: Strives to be the best and the strongest even if it means giving up his humanity.
I really hope that they show a bit more of Kaigaku’s backstory in the show so he can have more fans 🥲

When kaigaku was with gyomei he only caused 6 of the kids to get killed . The last one was the one that gyomei protected. But then she said that a demon killed the children , but was misinterpreted with gyomei killing the children.
