I'm a 21-year-old guy from Peshawar, and from what I've seen, I agree with her. this whole male-dominated thing here is just out of control. The way girls are treated, it's just not right. I see how girls around me get discouraged from aiming high or following their passions. there's this unspoken rule that says women shouldn't be out there doing jobs, and get discouraged even from playing sports. It's frustrating to see how much patriarchy holds us back. Violence is getting normalized, and that's scary.

I agree bro. I’m from UP, India. Here it is also a male dominated society, where women face problems in education, jobs, dating and marriage. Almost all aspects of women’s lives are controlled by their husbands or fathers. Even expressing their opinions or having a choice or hobby if their own is frowned upon. That, along with sexual harassment and violence against women. It is a terrible situation for them. Needs to improve.

I saw intro, I got angry because I am a man, but as I listened I couldn't agree more with her. She's right. This is how the society is this is how my mother got stripped of her education despite she had 3 masters. She couldn't pursue her career. I hope I won't let this happen to my sisters.

I couldn't agree with her more. My mom is a successful entrepreneur in Pakistan who built her business from scratch. After my dad's business crashed, she defied societal norms and, despite facing insults from some family members for starting her business to support the family, she persevered. The majority of men in Pakistan can be so negative and egoistic that they struggle to tolerate women's success. We must strive to eliminate this toxic culture and support the empowerment of women in all aspects of life

      @@maheenfatima5206This slogan is so wrong
"Mera jism meri marzi" don't they realise that a rapist can also defend himself saying this slogan, this slogan is atrocious if u look at the things it is justifying, this slogan justifies shirk, rape murder and etc
Correct slogan should be "Mera jism Allah ki marzi"
Also u don't have to be feminist to support women's rights, being Muslim is enough.
U can fight for women's rights calling yourself a Muslim, no need to call yourself a feminist because feminism doesn't agree with islam and I will prove it why.
Feminism supports equality of rights between men and women
      While islam promotes equity/justice
      There is an important difference.
      For example:
      in islam
      1 mans witness = 2 women
(according to feminism it should've been 1:1)
Most deserving of our good treatment amongst the people is our mother thrice then our father
(According to feminism it should've been half mother half father)
These are a few examples so the conclusion is Islam doesn't agree with feminism because men and women don't have equal rights but equity.
Somewhere women are superior, somewhere men are superior in rights.
But in Allah's sight both are equal, and none is superior to other except by taqwa.
But feminism when talking about Equality it's talking about Equality of rights, not equality of status in front of Allah.
No need to be a feminist to support women's rights, being Muslim is enough.
Islam gave more rights to women then feminism ever will, because answer this question.
Is Allah not the most all knowing and most just? If yes then wouldn't he gave all the rights women should have through islam?
Also from outside feminist looks like they are demanding women's rights
But from inside it is a liberal agenda, which aim is to degrade men. It only fights for women's rights and not for mens rights because by definition it supports equality right so it should support both? No that doesn't happens,

This statement and everything discussed on this podcast just serves men's life. Women are born to serve these men. When they don't they are forced and shamed to do so.

For those who think “not all men are the same” please have then sit alone in a room and have them take a truth test, I am pretty sure, all men would give the same answers if they’re from our society. No matter how progressive they can act within their households, they’re the same! Although i do disagree with a few things, Islam has granted women immense respect and women are considered strong too. In the end it all comes down to granting women equal “cerebral opportunity” rather than physical opportunities.

Their vision is only to be a housewife.

I still remember when my mother told me about one of my father's friend who did this post coital tear thing to his wife. My mother and father went back to their house with barat after doing dulhan's rukhsati and once my father's friend who was a very very aggressive man went inside to the room with dulhan. Just after 15 mins he came outside and told my father about what happened. My mother went inside and she couldn't believe the amount of bleeding and pain the poor woman who was only a few hours dulhan was enduring. They had to rush the bride to the emergency and she wasn't even present in her own valima. And yes it was an arranged marriage and I have seen the couple several times later during my childhood and the uncle was always extremely horrible to his wife who was a very innocent and decent woman and was always very kind to me and others.

It will be because men treated women as second class Muslims and abused them even as Allah made all men and women equal and independent.

      @mynmeisname4825 Місяць тому

      This slogan is so wrong

Its always good to hear from an intelligent independently thinking woman, on the dismal situation of women in our society. Much conversation research n analysis is needed to bring awareness on better changes.
Due to very strong patriarchal traditions cemeted with hadiths based religious doctrine, poor education, poverty n expliotative political n social system etc the changes r gradual n may take time. Keep it up its important n vital.

1:38:00 Sorry to hear that people don't do blood and organ donation.
This is true for Indian muslims as well. They were told that it is Haram. But they can take organs in case of medical case from Kafirs.
    What a Hypocrisy.

Dr Tahira highlighted some of the very vital things that women face in today's world. Not all men are alike. But sadly majority men expect the woman to not have an opinion as long as it is not creating a conflict with the views of the said man. If she shows an opinion then she's belittled for it, her emotional intelligence is questioned big time, not by anyone else but the man who's supposed to listen to her when she shares/talks about something.
Man can do and see what he wants. Why? Because he feel entitled of doing the exact thing he forbids his woman to do (just talking about the basic rights which can take a long list even). Its sad how our men think they are not answerable for their actions while in reality they are setting a wrong precedence for younger generations to come. Just hoping that the loop of male superiority complex would come to an end so things can become better.

After watching duration time I was going to skip it, then decided to watch first 5 minutes and now finished it in one sitting. Masha Allah impressed by her way of stating facts also wondering why the views are so low. I guess only few people have the courage to hear the truth.
More power to Dr. Tahira Kazmi 🙌🏻

@@riazali8408 You are absolutely right. Women are not our private property, they are independent individuals. They deserve respect, care and loyalty as much as men do. Very good on you for doing that. I’m from India btw, here in Indian cities situation is still better, but villages have a lot of discrimination.
