Young lady I can not THANK YOU ENOUGH for your vegan recipes. I watched you when I wasn’t vegan yet, but I just went vegan 4 months ago for health benefits and was actually thinking how sad that I didn’t have a real *need* to watch anymore (even though I would at times because I love your shows), but this is SUPER-FANTASTIC....THANK YOU!
As I'm getting older i see the older generation getting diagnosed with diabetes and high cholesterol and blood pressure. Its important to keep traditional recipes but we also have to adapt and update recipes for healthier choices. I really want to try this and see what my tias and abuelita think.
They are not going to like it.. stubborn old people lol 😆
@@remirichter7988 you are still using mesa that has alot of oil in it or you put in it.I see it on her video.Meat or no meat the mesa has alot of oil in it.Get real.....
@@jonanguiano6066 I don’t have a problem with my tamales. Is the lady here saying she needs a healthy version, she definitely won’t find it in this channel
It's all the sugar that's in just about everything that's at the store! Your abuelitas recipes that are from foods that are made from scratch are way healthier!
OH MY GOODNESS! Instant pot tamales and they are vegan. Ladies, you are geniuses! Cannot wait to try this.
It’s always very interesting watching your tutorials. Tamales looks something like Chimaki, in Japanese it’s called Chimaki but it’s originally a Chinese dish. Chimaki is wrapped in bamboo leaves, and I believe some southeast Asian countries use banana leaves and others as well. The filling is glutinous rice and meats and lots of others as well. The idea of having some kind of starch stuffed and meats etc in it steamed in both cultures seems comparable. Very fascinating how we are all related in someway.
My dear sweet sisters, Steph and Cloud, I want to thank you so much for creating this channel an valuable content. I father was Mexican and my mother is English and Scottish. We grew up in Los Angeles near my dad’s family. We had such yummy holiday meals. My mother learned to cook Mexican food from her in-laws and then taught us girls. With that said, I have learned, truly learned, so much from this channel! Steph, I appreciate your hard work researching and testing recipes wanting everyone to be successful in the kitchen. Cloud, you are her biggest fan and have given your sister the support and encouragement she has needed (along with your tech expertise). Everyone has struggles and ways to deal with them. I love to cook for my family, friends, and anyone lol; I also love to sew. I live now in SW Louisiana and we have been hit with 2 major hurricanes in 6 weeks. My kitchen and my sewing room were destroyed. I do not tell you this for you to feel bad for me. I share this with you because for weeks I was evacuated and unable to do either of my favorite things. I had already been a dedicated Views follower, but with work sometimes could only watch on weekends and holidays. During this time I have been able bing watching and saving my favorite Views recipes. We now have a camper with a very nice kitchen (as campers go) ,thanks to my sweet husband, and I have been able to crank out the food for him, my family, and neighbors. When things get overwhelming he asks me, “Where are you going?”, and I say, “to cook something” 😆. My faith is in the Lord and all blessings are from him, but I just wanted you two to know how much of a blessing you are to others.....they just may not write a long post telling you. Keep up the great work!-Love, Julie
Vegan tamales?!?! My vegetarian heart is overwhelmed ❤️👌🏼🙌🙏
We love you ❤️

Are you accepting applications to be your best friend , sister , cousin , house keeper , nanny , anything ? So that I can just have a plate of your food everyday 🤤🤤🤤
I saw vegan and I clicked. I had always used jackfruit as a substitute but after I started watching you I have started to use hibiscus get tea and a substitute too
Such a wonderful alternative right! 💕
Same here! Thanks for teaching me about this amazing option. The texture is 100x better. 🤩 Jackfruit is a pain in the butt in my opinion 😅
Vegan Tamales. OMG 😳 ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you! 🙏. I hope I’m the first comment. They’re just like Nacatamales Nicaraguenses with the potato, raisin and chile.
Nica. tamales are the best!!!
Yay ! Vegan tamales !!! My weakness lol
Love that you are making holiday vegan dishes 😊❤️Gracias !!!
You're so welcome! Our meatless community is special to us 💕

I absolutely LOVE watching your channel and seeing your techniques. I didn't have a lot of time with my mother in law before she got sick, to learn how she created her recipes. I remember some, my husband remembers some. Watching your videos for some reason makes me feel a little connection to her food. Thank you.

Those bits of masa are the best part of the tamale!
Watching you cook & teach is like watching my mom. 💕
Yassss. Tamale season. I have to try this. When I make them for myself I make chile verde no meat. This looks so good. Since my body stopped digesting meat I am sad.. lol I am missing the good stuff.

Ok, so I’ve paired this recipe with your Cafè de Olla.
I literally bowed down to the food. I kept the filling as “birria”, some green chile, and felt like having cheese on top w/some so I added.
I’ve never done that! So happy you share your magical kitchen steez w/Veggies/Vegans✌🏼‼️💋👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏼
REALLY LOVING THESE VEGAN VIDEOS!!

Legit opened my mouth and moved towards the screen when you got that forkful ready. This looks so so so good.
Unbelievable ! Wow!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! for showing me how to make tamales (and best of all using the instant pot!). I live in rural Minnesota and this is the first time ever in my life I've lived so far away from a LatinX community. I can make some simple things I miss, but I LOVE tamales and never would have attempted to make them myself. You're a life saver. I'm happily looking at tamales for Christmas now? 😋😋😋
You are so welcome! It's our pleasure to share and cook with you.
I'm glad you use small appliances. I would like to try to make tamales for the holidays but not spend too much time. Jeannine

The original Mexican indios used mostly all plant ingredients in their tamales. I am now 5 years vegan and like the young lady mentioned, I'm not missing a thing and as a matter of fact my ingredients and food has diversified immensely. Love your content..... Keep up the good work.
I love this recipe 🙏🏼💚🙏🏼💚

I'm try to make homemade tortillas again...as I am watching your video...of your 100 k video as well...I just realized that most cool mom's leave us recipe books or boxes...but you are giving us live videos... I'm so thankful for you...👑🌹❣️...
Just got done making these and they turned out AMAZING!!! So so good and easy recipe to make!! It was super fast making the masa in the stand mixer! I had smaller corn husks so I softened a few extra to make sure I had enough. I love the flavor of the hibiscus 🌺 and 🥔 potato and the raisin. I did add some cumin to the hibiscus mixture because I like that flavor.
If you've never made tamales check out the other tamale video she has linked in the description area full of tips!! ❤❤❤Thanks Stpeh
Seriously I bought an insta-post because of you girls ❤️ I love it and now I am finding out I can make tamales, wow!

True🤣
You made my dream come true!!! Vegan tamales.. 😊
Yes. Tamale season is coming. Usually, I only make them around Christmas time because I go overboard. I say I'm only making a few and end up making about 12 dozen (it's only my hubby and I). I end up freezing some give some to a couple of friends, coworkers and my pastor. I need to get an instant pot and make some for my hubby. He will love them.
My mom used to put just meat. My mother in law puts olives, my husband has make them for him like you, minus the raisins.
Really enjoying watching you share authentic recipes’ would please share More on meals that helped lose weight thank You
