Young Ghanaians, let us unpack this a bit better. The NDC manifesto itself acknowledged that the tourism and creative sector will need massive private sector investment. Let us look at Ghanaian brands that have become global icons, Culture Management Group and Afrofuture........international partnerships and exceptional execution got them where they are. The best performing Ghanaian music artists all have foreign management and/or distribution deals. Fashion icons.....all have international clientele. The government of Ghana does not have the financial muscle to invest in this sector, what they have is control of financial and policy incentives to secure foreign investment in the industry. That is Nigeria's success story.....the Nigeria government has a very limited direct role. It is foreign investment and partnerships and constant innovation to meet global demand that has gotten them to the top. Let the NDC government learn from and build upon the success of the previous government
