You're on a roll with the helpful info lately. Thank you.
Thanks for the info. I had 15 apps going in the background
Always learning something!
Thanks for the tip! Very helpful :)
Thank you! This helped so much!
Thanks for the tips!
Good stuff. Thx for the video and info!! Oh BTW, I had 46 apps open.
Thanks for the tutorial 😀
I had 26 apps that I had to close on your video. Thank you.
Vroom Vroom, thanks for the info! Had 10 open apps.
Thanks for sharing
I do this everyday, it keeps my fire stick in point. Thanks
I feel the need for speed...😊
Thanks!
Good video…simple fixes. What’s not to like?!
Quick question though… noticed you don’t clear the cache before you do the Force Stop. Why not?
Doesn’t that help regain a bit of memory?
Because this is a speed up video. If you clear cache you slow down the processing. Cache is memory and memory speeds things up. Only reason to clear cache is if you are low on storage or you are having issues with an app. We have low storage videos that talk about clearing cache. I don't unless the reason above. But I've added 2 terabytes to my firesticks, so I would rarely clear cache
I use Background Apps and Process List often. I like to clear cache and then force stop. Sometimes I will force stop and then clear cache. Is it really necessary to clear cache? Which do you prefer. I know here in the video you are just doing force stop, but it will free up space on the firestick to clear cache as well.
So clearing cache is really only a storage clearing solution. It will usually slow down your stick. Cache memory was created to speed up processing. This video is about a faster stick.
U sir ROCK
Only 5 open. Thanks for the "speed tip" too.
Hello Curiosity, Thank you for all your valuable assistance. I have tried closing the apps according to your instructions but am having difficulty. After selecting the apps and entering my pin the screen changes. After stopping the first app I backspace but the next app does not appear. The screen does not change at all. I have gone through the instructions several times with Close Multiple and Close All Apps but with the same results. What am I missing (other than a new tv)?
First, what pin? There is no pin. Second, you hit the return button? I think you are doing something. Different. Maybe hitting the wrong button on your remote?
@@CuriosityCafe Thank you for replying. I placed a pin on my firestick right after I was charged for 2 movies which I thought were free! Also, yes I hit the correct return button because I tried them all. My firestick has had crazy performance issues recently so I decided to do a reboot which I learned from one of your videos. It worked. I stopped 17 videos and updated Paramount+ which would not play without the update(?). I realize this is only a temporary fix and I must upgrade my firestick and increase the storage capacity.
I only had 5 apps open. Thanks.
Do you use realdebrid on any of your firestick or android devices?
No, no need
What type firestick do you recommend, as I currently have old ones that run slow regardless of what I do lol
4k max gen 2
Wow. It’s on sale today! amzn.to/3TVumVh
@@CuriosityCafe thanks I got the 4k one, works a treat
Whats the difference between closing and force stopping. Doesn't closing it actually stop it?
On the firestick it's called force stop. That's how you close them.
I need help downloading a app I can use to watch movies and one for sports
Did you reach out on Patreon? We have the installers there.
I went to featured content and turned both off but it still shows a preview for each
So the featured content you turned off was prime stuff. You might be seeing other apps like Netflix, Hulu etc previews. You have to go into the app settings to turn that off
I recently updated cinemaHD and now when I close it, it reappears every time I look on my background apps running
Did you uninstall and reinstall with the proper installer? The in app update was a malware. Just making sure.
@@CuriosityCafe I will look into it. Thank you so much.
How do I get an update to the Background apps and processes app? Mine won’t update.
Uninstall and reinstall
@@CuriosityCafe I’ve done that. But it doesn’t work. It sends to the App Store to download but it downloads the same old version
Interesting. I just updated mine fine. Uninstall, then restart your stick. Then re-install it. Before you do any of this, make sure you updated your firestick. Luckily if you can't get it, the old version still works fine
@@CuriosityCafe thanks for all your work and responses
I bought a t95 and I downloaded Pluto and it's not letting open the app
You are in the US? Or have your vpn set to inside the US?
Dang I had 13 open...wow
Why not delete cache after closing the app?
For storage issues you would. But it will slow down your stick. You understand what cache memory is right?
@@CuriosityCafe I was always under the impression that deleting cache would help with buffering issues. Is that not correct?
No, that's wrong information. Cache helps processing. The only reason to clear it is if you have storage issues.
strange that amazon dont have a way to do it without downloading an app
They do have a way to close apps, however not show you what's open. That's why this app is so good
How come it doesn't close the tv apps
Just how they designed it
what wi fi router are you using
Rock Space Mesh
😮I had 20
Forgot to close the Background app
8.
I had 8 running
26 apps open
I had about 20 apps open
15
i will ck it tonight good looking out
VIasat told me that I can not get my own modem. Is that true? I do not like "Renting" someone's modem for the rest of my life
I don’t know that company. But you rent the router, not the modem. You can get your own router. It’s creates the WiFi signal
@@CuriosityCafe Ok. But I was told that I can not do it and it will not work, I feel like I was lied to because they will lose my leasing money. ViaSat is just satellite internet
@@CuriosityCafe What is your take on streamlocator?
If it's a sat service, you probably have to use their modem, but not the router. Don't get the two confused.
Streamlocator reroutes all signals. You will slow your service down about 200%. For some it doesn't matter. All depends on what you are starting with. You are better off with a high end router and expressvpn.com/curiositycafe - I suggest the reyee one we reviewed

I had 3 apps running
I only have 7 apps open.
I had 17
I had 12
16 apps
25 apps.
Should clear cache too
Clear cache actually slows down the speed. That's just if your storage is low. Please be sure to mention that next time commenting
I only had 3 apps lol
