Carolina Gold is correct. It’s a bit of a mix between sweet, mustard, and vinegary. My city and the place where I eat before most Drive baseball games! Love this combo!
In South Africa it is not so popular, where you go to a smoked bbq restaurant. You do find places scattered throughout that does it where they need to cater for larger groups of people, but mostly you hire someone with a smoker for private events, etc.
We do have those restaurants but they're Americanised, the only place I think that has their own style is Korea, Korean barbecue is a pretty niche thing but apparently delicious.
Carolinas are king when it comes to pulled pork BBQ... South Carolina is mustard base pulled pork and North Carolina is vinegar base pulled pork. Both are amazing but I prefer the NC style the best
Carolina Gold is mustard-based. There's also Eastern North Carolina BBQ, which is vinegar-based with brown sugar, pepper, cayenne, etc. You're thinking of Eastern NC BBQ.
Here in Wales, specifically Cardiff, we have a bbq restaurant called Smoke Haus and they also have their own food challenge that I attempted but failed.
I was stationed in a middle east country years ago and they had a BBQ joint. However, no pork. So pulled chicken and brisket, but all the bacon was beef bacon and stuff like that. Good, but nothing beats pulled pork.
I live in Canada and the closest thing I have to a BBQ place is a Roadhouse that really is more like an Applebee's but with a few more BBQ options than most places. I went on a trip to New York and ended up going to Dino BBQ and it was FANTASTIC. It is probably good for my health there isn't easy access to a good BBQ place though.
another thing... about beard... i ALWAYS trip out when hes almost done and i look at the timer... and then remember its NOT counting down its counting up this dude is insane
I live in Tokyo right now and they have American BBQ places. They do the best they can and they have some pretty good menu items but, of course, it doesn't match my favorite places back in Georgia. There is actually a chain called Midtown BBQ that has some incredible smoked chicken. I hear tales of a Texas guy way out west of Tokyo that doesn't have a real restaurant but smokes his own meats and sells them infrequently.
Im an american in Germany and we have about 3 BBQ spots in the next city over. Two are owned by a guy from Memphis. But i have seen more throughout Europe in recent years.
all i know about SC BBQ is anyone who has had it and texas... says carolina does it best and from what ive heard id probably say the same bc im a sauce guy and texas is big on S&P maybe some garlic
as soon as I saw it I knew beard is gonna crush it, too small of a challenge for him and Tim, barbecue is the shit all over the world, it's meat over a fire, it's been done for a loooong time
I live in Australia big man and spots like that are listed as "American BBQ" restraunts but not much over here, our BBQ is more what you would call "grilling" and is more notoriously done at home with a bunch of people!
BBQ is widely available in the UK; Not so much at smoker at home typa joint but there’s plenty of decent BBQ spots in the UK. Also a British summer BBQ is widely different, it’s some depressing looking sausages and burgers etc cooked on a grill in overcast weather whilst you get drunk and play music.
Tim in regards to the question about a smoker with brisket and sausages ect there's not many in the UK but some try to be like an American type of restaurant here like a Red Dog Saloon
Beard did a BBQ challenge in Finland of all places so there are some in Europe but they're not very common. (I meant BBQ joints aren't that common in Europe)
We have a very nice BBQ place called "Duinoord's Steakhouse" it has such amazing steaks and an awesome burger. Don't know about sausages though. That's something I gotta check out next time I go there, which should be in like a month. The vibe is very good there too. The cowboy theme is definitely there, though obviously not as much as the native ones over in America. If I ever go there, a good BBQ restaurant is definitely on the bucket list
TIMMY I live in Japan and most barbeque here is like a small personal one at each table but it is extremely good cant afford it all the time coz its A5 WAGUE but every time I go its great
i might be mistaken but i think there are two different kinds north and south and i think one is mustard based and one is vinegar based but dont quote me
Tim and beard doing a food challenge together would be hilarious. Beard would be clowning him the whole time. 😂
Everybody ask this on all these video. It wont happen. Tim cant even Beards watch the outro video let alone organise a challenge together,
Tim everytime “ I dont know about this one” then beard proceeds to crush it
half the shit he says you'd think he'd never watched a beard video lol
Tim says it every time, so it loses the meaning of it totally.
Tim and Beard Collab NOW
Add Caseoh 😂
@@mfsaucegoddadd badlandschugs
100%
it wont happen because Tim is a gamer and beard is competitive food eater he only Collab's with other foodies
@CalHeWhoDares Weird logic, considering Beard recently collabed with an MMA fighter. "Confidently wrong" is how I would describe this take.
Love that he just walks in mid day nobody there and walks out casually after mouth harassing a weeks worth of food
In the UK we have a place called Hickorys Smokehouse, its incredible
True! Had a Hickory's close to my Uni near Coventry, was SOOOO GOOD!
you don’t know what good BBQ is
Yes we have smokehouses in Australia too, probably not as good though.
Carolina Gold is correct. It’s a bit of a mix between sweet, mustard, and vinegary. My city and the place where I eat before most Drive baseball games! Love this combo!
Was looking for someone in the comments to say something about this, thanks for sharing!
Intro looks like a new warzone map😂
Wish it was. Sick of sand
love that free health care jab that's hilarious
Please do more of these regular 😅
FR I would watch Tim reacting to EVERY SINGLE CHALLENGE!
Yes Tim we do have Barbecue places like that here in Australia
In South Africa it is not so popular, where you go to a smoked bbq restaurant. You do find places scattered throughout that does it where they need to cater for larger groups of people, but mostly you hire someone with a smoker for private events, etc.
We do have those restaurants but they're Americanised, the only place I think that has their own style is Korea, Korean barbecue is a pretty niche thing but apparently delicious.
Korean bbq is good as hell.
Carolinas are king when it comes to pulled pork BBQ... South Carolina is mustard base pulled pork and North Carolina is vinegar base pulled pork. Both are amazing but I prefer the NC style the best
We have those in Canada. I had a place called Memphis Barbeque on the weekend. It was fire.
BBQ mac with brisket is top tier
That cobbler looks so amazing
SC BBQ hits. Need to try Smoking Pig in Clemson, SC
Going for dessert is actually crazy
Tim and beard Collab would be class
Carolina Gold is mustard-based. There's also Eastern North Carolina BBQ, which is vinegar-based with brown sugar, pepper, cayenne, etc.
You're thinking of Eastern NC BBQ.
Need to do a Tim/beard duo food challenge collab.
We have BBQ restaurants / smoke houses in the uk. The is one local-ish to me where the kitchen is an old U.s School bus.
Here in the UK we have places and food menus that do Tex Mex burgers, mac and cheese is classed as American. Texas BBQ meats on the menu.
Here in Wales, specifically Cardiff, we have a bbq restaurant called Smoke Haus and they also have their own food challenge that I attempted but failed.
To answer your question, we do have BBQ places in england. They are starting to pop up more and more
Tim and beard goes head to head and does a big food challenge
Beard literally just does drive bys but with eating restaurants foods for free
To finish that in 22 minutes is insane
recently I ordered a BBQ brisket poutine with brisket gravy at Q39 in Kansas City . It was life changing
Being from Greenville, I’m so mad I missed the chance to see Beard🤦🏻♂️
I was stationed in a middle east country years ago and they had a BBQ joint. However, no pork. So pulled chicken and brisket, but all the bacon was beef bacon and stuff like that. Good, but nothing beats pulled pork.
I love how this was one of Tim’s better reactions and they decided to leave the sneeze in on him lol poor guy can’t catch a break
South Carolina is a vinegar based bbq typically but yes there is a Carolina gold that is a mustard seed base
I’m from england and we do have a few spots for barbecue, not many though , main one being “hickory’s smokehouse”
could be a dry rub a lot of carolina does dry rub also i think they do vinegar base sauce... i can't remember off top of my head
Carolina Gold is a Mustard heavy BBQ sauce, its so good on wings!
Germany has a few BBQ places. Most of them are called Texas Steakhouse or American Grill, for example.
South Carolina is usually a mustard based sauce I’ve had texas bbq as well as Memphis and North Carolina bbq and South Carolina is by far my favorite
south carolina goes hard with bbq
The Carolinas use more vinegar based sauces, with South Carolina does use some vinegar Mustard sauces.
another thing... about beard... i ALWAYS trip out when hes almost done and i look at the timer... and then remember its NOT counting down its counting up
this dude is insane
8:53 "Americans eat like health care is free"
Mustard base sauce, ketchup based, vinegar based hot or sweet, so many options in sauces in the Carolina’s
I’m in the uk, there isn’t many bbq places but there are a couple
Literally every time:
Tim: “I don’t know if he’s going to finish this one man.”
Beard: crushes it 98% of the time 😂
Bbq down here in sc is ok but it really all depends on where you go
Im an american in Germany and we have about 3 BBQ spots in the next city over. Two are owned by a guy from Memphis. But i have seen more throughout Europe in recent years.
all i know about SC BBQ is anyone who has had it and texas... says carolina does it best
and from what ive heard id probably say the same bc im a sauce guy and texas is big on S&P maybe some garlic
Bless you timmy
Carolina gold is a mustard base, it’s so good
Bbq is pretty popular here in Canada and we do have propper bbq restaurants but I feel like outside of North America they get scarce
Bbq in the uk until very recently was a name for grilling meat on coal or gas, only recently have bbq smoke houses started opening
yes your right on the sauce
Would be so cool to see you two both attempt the same challenge at the same time just to see how good he is.
TTFT ... Versus Beard ... Drum ROLLS!
In the Netherlands we do have some of those restaurants. Not a lot tho. Black Smoke in Rotterdam is a great place.
Tim is so accurate with the BBQ Mac and cheese
eating all that and then ordering dessert is crazy lmao
We have bbq places in England but they tend to be American themed. I love doing a home bbq though!!
south carolina bbq has gold bbq sauce im tellling you its so good
1:30
in the UK we have got a place called Estabulos they do a all you can eat meat type of restaurant
as soon as I saw it I knew beard is gonna crush it, too small of a challenge for him
and Tim, barbecue is the shit all over the world, it's meat over a fire, it's been done for a loooong time
I live in Australia big man and spots like that are listed as "American BBQ" restraunts but not much over here, our BBQ is more what you would call "grilling" and is more notoriously done at home with a bunch of people!
Cool to see he was so close to our city! Carolina gold >>
There use to be a bbq spot near my place, that had some amazing fried chicken, and there peach cobbler was 👌
Tim I live here in Greenville where Mac's is. Come on up and try the challenge yourself!
Canadian here. Where I live we have very few BBQ joins aside from the chain places.
I live in Mexico and yes there is a bbq Restaurant it's pretty good too
Yes, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil are known for their meats. Knew it was a set up question but happy to answer.
Retired Heli guy. No video games but enjoy what you S For brains do.
Tim you should come to AZ and try Caldwell BBQ the best bbq and mac n cheese
I feel a tatman and beard collab incoming.
JWebby Can Eat is one of the craziest food challenge eaters right now !
Carolina sauce has vinegar base unlike other areas
BBQ is widely available in the UK; Not so much at smoker at home typa joint but there’s plenty of decent BBQ spots in the UK.
Also a British summer BBQ is widely different, it’s some depressing looking sausages and burgers etc cooked on a grill in overcast weather whilst you get drunk and play music.

(I meant BBQ joints aren't that common in Europe)
Carolina Gold. Sweet and tangy.
This place and the hot dog place he also did recently are literally ten minutes from my house. Was so bummed I missed him.
its nothing like this in Norway. always wanted to try big bbq resturants like the one`s in usa
One of americas biggest steakhouse franchines is Australian themed 😂 Us Australians love a bloody good bbq
Tim u should react to one of his spicy challenges like the death nut or ome of those it's epic
Carolina gold is mustard based
I love watching a Timthetatman video where we see someone other than him eating the whole time.
We have a very nice BBQ place called "Duinoord's Steakhouse" it has such amazing steaks and an awesome burger. Don't know about sausages though. zesty waiter saying “six five” instead of $65 😂
Germany perhaps just a few to no BBQ restaurants like the ones in the US. I dont know of any with big pitsmokers
TIMMY I live in Japan and most barbeque here is like a small personal one at each table but it is extremely good cant afford it all the time coz its A5 WAGUE but every time I go its great
Show of hands on who thinks we should band together and send some top quality BBQ to Japan from the southern US. (I'm from Canada)
Ma guy, that looks like my breakfast, lunch and dinner all in one. And some left over if I do get hungry again.
Tim its time for you to do an IRL stream food challenge
i might be mistaken but i think there are two different kinds north and south and i think one is mustard based and one is vinegar based but dont quote me
Craziest part is my girl was in Greenville when this episode came out. She drove by this place a few times
I’ve been watching beard now got awhile and this is the reaction I didn’t know I needed
Normally we don't talk to guys at the bar at 11am
I eat everything with some kind of hot sauce..... But my palate is kinda wrecked lol.
We have Tim Salute from Belgrade
Carolinas are usually vinegary tasting.
We have all the BBQ food up here in Canada
