About 11 months into my ACL injury and I agree with everything said in this video - I've still not gained full flexion - it's slow and gradual. Still working on the strength, it's almost 85% to the uninjured leg. Thanks for the tips!
I am so THANKFUL I found you. This video is exactly what i needed. I am 58 years old and 11 months post Acl/Mcl reconstructive surgery as well as medial and lateral meniscus. Quad graph for Acl and cadaver for mcl. Playing ice hockey. My rom is pretty good, about 3 inches from my butt, knee definitely still very stiff at times, quads and hammys click a lot and still weak. I would say I’m probably close to same stage as your video person. Been in a fog on how to grow lately and this really helped. Now i feel like I’m where i am supposed to be but just exercising wrong. Any tips on a blown knee recovery like mine? Thanks Todd
Is getting same knee strenght really that important for me? Considering Im doing downhill mountain biking where legs move in straight line? I had different strength in legs before acl surgery anyway bacause of the fact that my healthy back leg on pedals takes much more stress. While the other that is moved forward on pedals takes less. Plus I use taping before riding, jumping etc.
Hi mate, could you help please. I had acl/meniscus surgery 9 months ago now. When i fully straighten my leg my knee clicks everytime, it doesnt hurt but it clicks every time i straighten and flex my knee, is this normal 9 months after surgery?
Im 12 months post acl now and also still have scar tissue making my knee feel tight. Im still doing physio, do you have any additional exercise tips which would help break up scar tissue?
Tim. Could you please show the way to engage the band to heel ( this double cross the band). I am trying but I can not find the proper way.It helps a lot Thanks
G'day Tim, Love your videos mate! I'm 9 months post op from a BPTB graft. My gym work and strength side of things has been pretty solid and I'm feeling pretty strong. However, i've been battling with some patella tendonitis that gives me pain in a closed chain position when going knee over toes. It means that its set me back with my hopping and running etc. pretty much since the 3 month mark. I've been doing wall sits and isometric knee extensions as a way to try and reduce pain and build some strength back without aggravating it further, but it just doesn't seem to be going anyway. I was wondering in your experience if you've encountered this with any patients and what has worked for you?
Yes always harder on anterior knee pain and tendinopathy than hamstring graft. But upside you have your hamstrings. Be patient and consistent. Have you had a look at my rehab program? physiorehab.com/rehab-programs-acl-knee-surgery-rehab

Yes it could be tightness and not full strength following surgery. Have a look at my ACL program at physiorehab.com for all the exercises
It could be a scar tissue breaking up
When can one start implementing Nordics after ACL reconstruction with hamstring graft?
Try around 16-20 weeks
Tim, how is your bro inlaw going with his Achilles rehab?
Back training for soccer and running

it's just a matter of time - keep working on the strength and mobility - don't forget to cool down and stretch properly after exercises, thanks!

Hi Ferghus, I have the same issue. Did it all work out for you?
@@AllaIstor all worked out mate, but I did end up getting shockwave therapy as an adjunct therapy to the exercises i listed above. had to be patient.
