not bad at all.id make a small adjustment to the "reel" section to prevent line slip,but solid build.im planning to make one from solid fiberglass rod stock for catfish,and after watching this,I may add more than just the one line guide on the tip.im thinking I'll want that rod to "load up" more evenly if a big cat slams it.

bruh,proof is in history.he made a cane pole.that is the exact classification of pole.want to know if it works,research cane poles.hand me that rod and I can garantee I'll catch a fish with it,as long as I know it's weight limits.and furthermore,bank poles,or Diddy poles,originally was a cane pole jammed in the bank.and down south we use bank poles to massive success landing huge catfish all year round.they work.just cuase it's old tech or don't cost 1500$ don't make it any less effective.i mean,we catch huge fish on little more than line tied to a bloody milk jug.and through it all I can promise you the fish just simply don't give a damn what your rod looks like lol.go make one,learn how to use it,as it is a little different than casting or spinning rods,and see for yourself how these can work.at the end of the day it just comes down to getting a baited hook to that fish in such a way that fish can be retrieved,the means is more or less up to you and only limited by your ingenuity.

Anything can catch a fish if you know the right spot to fish. I was catching fish with a needle that i bent like a hook, some string and a straight tree branch. Being a good fisher is not about having high expensive equipment, it's about knowing right spot to fish.
