They're really nice, mainly because all of Davemadson's designs look practically the same: the men are literal blockheads, and the women all have unrealistically-huge butts. Your designs, meanwhile, are much more appealing to the eye.

I figure the misshapening you see with Dave's characters was part of the humor, to be honest. And while it's true, I look and see if anything on these more human-like versions can be improved sometimes, I do like to keep some aspects that were true to Dave's like certain shirt colors or what have you.
I still think my version of Mary can stand to be improved some; she kinda looks ditzy in a way...
