No counterweights can eliminate the vibration of such a design, because its rigidity will not change in any way. This design is not initially rigid. It is not clear why such a device is needed. Studio column tripods have rigidity, which is why they are for the camera, not a stand. There is no need to mislead people.
It worked great for me and it's much better than a normal tripod, other options are much more expensive about 2000 eur for the entry level manfrotto salon stand. If you don't like it just use a normal tripod which sucks for a studio, but if it's better for you that's fine, anyway I used later this bottom part that is more stable : mt.studio.ps/web/image/product.template/4559/image_1024?unique=d6f4e12

You can put weight to make it more stable and there are now more stable stands available like a neewer is almost the same bottom with additional part to make it more stable

great build, by the way the problem with the manfrotto screw, is that it is actually two parts: first is a bolt, with a knurled head; second is a nut, round head, the one you turned!!
this replicates tripods of the 40's and 50's where only screw connections were around, the system works by using the BOLT (brass looking thing on the bottom) to connect to the camera / studio light, etc. HAND TIGHT, then use the NUT ( blue / grey) to remove the play, ( marry the cameras' base to the tripod plate)- there is a channel in the lower face of this nut to put a pin/key, etc. into to torque this nut (1/4 turn only!), then you are done!! one reason for quick release (QR for short) is that this saves time, but as per what I just said, this circular disk and bolt thread can't stop the camera turning on the bolt axis, a QR plate is square / octagonal, which CAN stop the camera turning around! also good idea for other things, so no loosening can occur, esp. with heavy studio lights, or expensive, LF or MF cameras, so no damage to the gear, or models/ actors, or the photographer/ grips, etc.
I already updated it and as I suggested in the video I put a (a2 70) screw in the manfrotto connector. I haven't got it around when I was making the video :) thanks for the comment

it's a 35mm tube and approximately 210 cm long
I've made a couple of stands of this quality. It seams to be too wobbling, too unstable. You will want to have something more stable soon. IMHO.
It depends on what you need, if you need something for macro for example that is super stable then it can be too wobbly, for me it works nicely for most of what I need
Even for products it works, you can put a weight on the arm to make it more stable.
