Enlightenment is not restricted just to Tibetan Buddhists or lamas. Results arise in differing modalities and practices do vary. Neem Karoli gave people the experience of unconditional love (to the degree they were prepared to handle), which he defined as God's Love. Ron W Something is weird here: Dzogchen says that Advaita Vedanta is a wrong view. How is it that L.S.D., a Dzogchen tescher actually, is stating that a Vedantin is enlightened? Hmmm...maybe my understanding of Dzogchen is off.
Respectfully, Stefos, could you be looking at Dzogchen with your conceptual mind rather than from a state of blissful non-duality? The state of Enlightenment is not restricted to Tibetan Buddhism or any other system oif oractice. Namaste
Ron W The way Ramana Maharishi taught Self Inquiry is identical to how Mahamudra is taught...Dzogchen is taught a bit differently but the same essentially. Tibetan Buddhists would disagree that Advaita Vedanta and Mahamudra/Dzogchen are the same. To me, the means are the same but the terminology in this case is different, so yes I believe they Mahamudra and Self Inquiry are the same. I leave it there folks. Be Blessed ! :)

Surya Das is the name Maharaji gave him, and it means "Servant of the Sun", so was Yeshu a joke or something?
