Good Morning. This is one of the parts of collecting that I like the most. This rebuilding, repairs, from life to broken parts and pieces is pretty cool. This jeep suggests several possibilities, I imagine how it will be finished. I have a great friend, Dinho, who does this restoration work very well, we exchange a lot of ideas about the renovation processes. I hope to see this jeep with the joes on top. 😊😉👍🏿

When my younger brother played with his jeep, (he was in 2nd grade in the 60's) he crawled and had one hand pushing down on the jeep to push it. It broke in half. We got another Jeep, a 2nd generation Hasbro Jeep without the "motor noise", still have it . . . The broken jeep was repaired with a sheet of plexiglass pop-riveted to the Jeep Bottom.

With the 60s and 70s hard plastic vehicles and accessories, use hobby cement for styrene plastic model kits.

Hello, great job! I would use plastic L brackets instead of rivets, even thin fiberglass strips, Very thin.
Trace out a pattern from paper for hole under the hood and trace onto plastic styrene then glue in and paint.
Place a couple of “retired Joe’s” around it, in a “return to recon” video!!!

Great idea, I was looking into using plastic rivets, but yeah I like your idea

If you go with the styrene idea, i'd recommend poly cement or plastic weld. Perfect for gluing this type of plastic!

It’s crazy how the whole front clip was broken off. How is the glue holding up. Some of that plastic can be a pain in the a** to get glued together. Looks good! Your paint mixing is spot on.

So far pretty solid, I'm thinking of using a rivet gun and a metal plate to reinforce it from the bottom, thanks for the comment buddy:)

Hey Tim! Thanks for your videos. I use you quite often for my repairs/hobbies I do restoration as well, still a novis, but love it, and lots of customs. Any way you could help me mix a paint color for the joe keep!? What colors and paint to mix. What you like to use…. I’m repairing and restoring a few jeeps!

Thanks very much, name is Peter, as for the color I couldn't say as I just mixed till it looked right, as for paint I usually just buy the cheap stuff, acrylic for the most part. Thanks for watching and for the support.
