We must realize that even with such a mathematical brain that Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty possesses, he is handling this disciple with such a great care, teaching with heart as well. He is not mincing his words, but presenting it so cautiously, and wittily.. that the disciple understands where she needs to work towards improvement!

In my life also I lament for Shrutinandan. I'm 68 at present. But I had been visiting Kolkata (with gaps)for nearly forty years upto my 60 years of age in quest of learning music going from Paschim Medinipur spending an entire day. Beginning from the age when I was 20 years old a madness gripped me to run and run looking for the perfect preceptor who could satisfy my thirst for music. But l'm sorry to say I could not find out or meet one like Ajay Chakraborty.. I'm really unfortunate that I had been going upto Golf green stoppage every Sunday for last ten years of my visiting Kolkata for learning music but never did I visit Shrutinandan for a single time.I had been getting down at the stoppage to go to Shrutinandan but God had betrayed me. My dwelling place is in a remote village of Paschim Medinipur. But I had been spending every Sunday in Kolkata and on the way to and back to my village home for long 40 years definitely leaving gaps in the middle . Yes, I have to change my music teachers time to time because of many reasons and in between the one and the two I hadn't visited Kolkata for that period and for the same purpose... I started well with Shyamal Lahiri when I was merely a university student but after Completing M. A. I had to stop it for my employment elsewhere.It was when Pandit Chinmoy Lahiri was alive.. But then again I started visiting to Banichakra to quench my thirst for music simultaneously in continuation with my job.. Adversities in life hampered my flow of life time time and again. Still I couldn't desert the liking for music. But nowhere did I find my suitable preceptor. So I had to change in course of time. This change had been taking place like the change of seasons. I dislike to mention everything.. So I stop my jargons.. Only what I had in consequence is to lament and lament for unfulfilled longing for music learning...
