At 9yo I fought with my mom about my helmet. Finally I put it on, got on my razor scooter, IMMEDIATELY fell off and cracked my helmet. She must have felt so vindicated.
I was at a packed restaurant and sat at the bar by myself for dinner. An older women touched/grabbed my arm and I firmly said “don’t touch me” and she got offended?? Her and her friends acted so surprised and got mad at me, weird af
Being approached by a stranger in public is scary in any scenario let alone with a CAMERA??? Especially if I was alone and a man approached me with a camera I would absolutely have a meltdown, that’s terrifying.
I’m visually impaired and people definitely treat me differently when I’m using my cane. It’s so frustrating how belittling people are sometimes. I always appreciate people who actually respect my autonomy in public.
When I was little I use to drive my scooter tk the library down a really big hill. So basically I'd be braking the whole time. But because the break is just stepping on the metal thingy over the back wheel this creates a lot of friction and heat. So this basically melted through the soles of several pairs of shoes until my mom found out and got rid of the scooter. And yes, it did burn at the bottom of my feet but it was too much fun to stop
the part where you guys talk about the "random acts of kindness" and the bouquet video changed my perspective so much. Like seeing a video like that i almost didn't think about what the person who made the video was trying to do... not how the person receiving the gesture would have felt like. Cuz seeing that even when i put myself in the shoes of both of them i am not thinking about the camera at all. i am thinking a kind stranger giving me flowers to make my day? Aww sweet. Or me randomly handing out flowers to make strangers smile? cool. Because we cannot see a camera in the video my autistic brain forgets about it completely and also cannot think of the consequences i guess. Like why i get so absorbed in fiction because i almost believe what i see and forget that someone wrote it or someone planned this "sweet moment with my partner" and filmed it consciously. But hearing from the person whose video was taken and uploaded without her consent and then she was subjected to those comments actually made me realize how gross that is. Like it is not an act of kindness if you intend to record them and put them online without their consent.
I'm a former German teacher! Just like Sarah started to mention, the word order or German sentences has strict rules, which I found made the language very easy and fun to play with! Verb is always in the second position, easy peasy. Unfortunately (to me as an native English speaker) German is gendered so you can't just say "the," you gotta die der or das that.
One time when I was a kid I accidentally kicked my folded Razor Scooter, while barefoot, and my pinky toenail came clean off, except for a little bit of nail so it was dangling. Trying to deal with removing the dangling toenail was the first and only time a bloody injury made me nauseous and I have since gone through unmedicated childbirth.
My sister broke both of her arms at the same time falling off her razor scooter. She even broke them wrong somehow and had to have the casts that went all the way up her arms
First time I broke my wrist it was going downhill on a razor scooter. Second time was falling getting out of the shower and third time I flipped my bike and broke BOTH wrists because in the moment I thought if I simply don't let go I won't crash
My aunt let me and my brother go on her treadmill when we were like nine and I was walking until my brother started upping the speed. I slipped and held onto the bars, my poor knees and feet got so torn up 😭 But I mean I got Gatorade out of it so worth it ig.
Spanish is annoying in that i feel like there arent enough words to describe common objects with distinction, like why is bowl called plato or taza and not a separate term? How do i differentiate? Dont know yet
We use the word “plato hondo” for bowl but I absolutely get what you mean. Spanish is a very emotional language whereas English is a very technical language.

I’ve heard Sarah tell the falling on the treadmill story multiple times and it’s funny every time

Kendahl you are right on the nose with the no football rule. It’s the only sport my kid isn’t allowed to play.
I'd watch Sarah strut around Poland, count that as one vote for yes lmao
Seconded
I’d love that

Please bring back the "guests" they were such a nice cherry on top to your episodes and when they don't show at the end of an episode I get real sad
Yes I'm so sad there wasn't a guest

Love u guys (in a normal casual podcaster enjoyer and not a par asocial freak way) and this podcast ❤look forward to it every Wednesday
I hope you guys make a million bucks off your ads bc they’re the longest of any podcasts I’ve ever watched by far
when are we getting bcc merch that says "no, yeah"?
As a Pole: Mayo is not a main part of Polish dishes. Only in couple of them.
i love your guys podcast! one of my favorites i love listening to it at work !
i fell of a razr scooter down a hill and slid down on both elbows and both knees for like 5 feet
Sorry, that sounds awful, but the mental image is kinda comical lol
My sister broke both of her arms at the same time falling off her razor scooter. She even broke them wrong somehow and had to have the casts that went all the way up her arms
Never felt so good about being a Midwesterner before, thanks y'all ❤😅
Kendahl finds a lot of things crazy
rode my electric razor scooter, crashed it, fell on my knee and my wart came off LOL
First time I broke my wrist it was going downhill on a razor scooter. Second time was falling getting out of the shower and third time I flipped my bike and broke BOTH wrists because in the moment I thought if I simply don't let go I won't crash
That’s even worse than my stupid ass spraining both ankles bc I was wearing huge platforms in a dress that was still too long 😂
We need more views!

i will absolutely never recover from hitting my ankles w razor scooters in my childhood i’m positive i still have scars from it😭

Bowl is tazón. And i see cup more suitable for taza.

@DiMagnolia which country's Spanish do you use? I got my plato and taza from a Peruvian and Colombian, respectively
