What do you think of the Christopher Nolan Film School?
how come no-one commentedhere
didnt even know it existed
He has his own school. While he himself dint go to film schoola and not attended any film clases. This is why he is genius he learn film making from his daily life. Result is genius and masterpiece movies.
In short he dint allowed schooling to interfere in his education.
Hard to picture Nolan making a film digitally, mentioning 2 corporate sponsors, or spending more of the video talking about the gear he's using than the story he's telling. Nor can I picture him using the word "Content" (in a form other than the contextual phrase of: "form & content") or using social media or UA-cam at all. Forest for the trees.
@area51pictures film is really expensive so it’s hard to imagine UA-camrs or freelance filmmakers shooting low budget projects on film. Also these types of videos are just meant to inspire new filmmakers or video creators to think outside the box. The little tips he gave like shooting lots of tight shots etc are probably really helpful to people who are just picking up a camera. And if you can make a better tutorial using Nolan as a reference make it as I would love to watch it.
This is insanely amazing! Why is the masterpiece only 3 mins!!😍
Lens it is only 10% or even less of the success. I have a Blazar Remus 65 and using them with the RED Raptor in the daylight at home you will not get a Hollywood movie automatically out of the box. Here is a huge work: light, sound design, editing, camera movements, talents, and lenses are just a small part of the feeling.
Loved the snow sequence
This is a good inspiration 👏🏽 watching this just want to make one go out their and create magic ✨
Is name of this film is "Interception"?😂😂lol.
Not, "is the lenses, etc." but "are the lenses, etc." Why are people scared to use "are" all of a sudden?
Hey!! This inspires me to do more film!!! Thank you
Great short. I've noticed with all your films, you have great little locations. I know you use a lot of what you have access to (like basements and garages with texture) but for when you need a more specific location, how do you go about finding it and shooting there? Do you do the whole permit process (which I doubt unless it's for a bigger commercial project), do you go guerilla style with a skeleton crew, rent locations and deal with all the insurance hassle...etc?
Locations add so much production value, even more than cameras and lenses and such and you do a great job with locations every time.
GREAT question dude. For big locations where we're filming something quick, it's a skeleton crew and guerilla-style, and then for a space, we're filming in for over 4 hours, I'll either pay for it or get a friend to help out.
I’m watching this in airplane just b4 take off
YES!!!!! Best way to watch it!
Really nice end result!
Lol. Someone has said in this comment section this movies name should be "Interception"
Interestelar+inception..🤣🤣
bahahahahaha
Great work bro
Love your videos.
Great material! Good insights that can be applied. In a " one man band" video production and I´ll give a try on that. Thanks.
LOOOOOVE the shot at 9:53!! Absolutely stunning!
It’s all Jacquie, I just hold the camera up
Hi, extremely interestuting/educative. If I may ask how was the "iris" at 13:44 made?
Respectfully, I agree with your video & stuff about making stuff cinematic, but then again, you forgot one major thing, Nolan uses scope when it's necessary, he no longer filming his films in the anamorphic format, only on large format 65mm films, filming with spherical lens & with a 1.43:1/1.90:1 & 2.20:1, full screen gives more Christopher Nolan deja vu euphoria with the right idea & execution of his music, 10/10 master recipe
I want to go to the Zach Ramelan Film School!!!!!!!!!
Solid video bro!
Glad you liked it!
I like how even the dialogue was hard to hear. In true Christopher Nolan filmmaking fashion XD
Hahaha
No one knows this, but Zach Ramelan is my cousin.
It’s true
That film tho. Fire yall
No offense to Zach, but the term 'secret sauce' is quickly becoming over used on youtube latley.
These lenses look amazing...hopefully they are affordable. I have some DZO primes and they are solid.
One thing I do see as a drop off is the bars. Watching this on my TV half of the screen is black bars. On a phone you'd have a sliver of an image on your screen.
Also the squeeze factor doesn't seem to be uniform, what causes that? Some shot the black bars are closer to the edge and others they are closer to the middle.
Edit: the collection of lenses is $30K!
Generative fill on your talking head fooled me. I find that feathering the layer on top of the video yields a better stitch between the original footage and the generated background. Cheers bud. This video is gold dust.
Generative fill?.. Where?.. At which time point?...
It was REALLY GOOD
Thank you!!!!
@@ZachRamelan from one filmmaker to another, all the way from South Africa. I would love to film with you, the videos are really good. Thank you
Zach what camera did you use to film
Alexa 35 and the Sony Fx3
@@ZachRamelan Oh that is brilliant thanks for this. Are you going to do any more tutorials
I hit some buttons.
You should make a full movie one day👍🤔 please
I have! And it’s coming out sooon!!!
Very cool movie 🙌
Thanks!
The Big Crunch theory that predicts how the universe will end is yet another scientific thing the Quran details. The idea based on Einstein's general relativity theory talks about how the universe that began with the big bang will be eventually destroyed as its consequence.
Really cool promo video! But you should have used the Tik Tok Girl voice
Bhahahaha DAMN IT you're right!
If anyone wants Nolan style music, just hit me up
Inw head room 😅
Promoting your film school, yet...your talking headshot scenes are WAAAY offset vertically. So much so, it's to the point that it's very distracting.
That film was so mid 💀
Thank you 🙏
Very underwhelmed with the result, you talk like you know what youre talking about but you're actions dont show it lol
Did you check out the final result?
@@icyjaam Yeah I did
Looking forward to your superior short 😉
Yooo cannot wait for your short since you understand soooo much
@@DanielEarl sure I will post it soon
