I have this bike for about 24 hours now and compared to the other three e-bikes I have owned I cannot even feel this motor and I am not sure what to think of it. On the one hand, I honestly thought it was garbage because I could feel zero when I turned it on, but then when I got done with my ride I realized I wasn't as tired as I normally am. Later I have been able to find some additional videos that SEEM to indicate it will only work well when you are pedaling around 75RPM. Can anyone confirm exactly what you should feel when pedaling? I have not found one video yet that can confirm this... Another note, having a button only on the frame instead of the handle bar is foolish. Imagine climbing a hill, and needing to take your hand of the handlebar while really pumping up a hill, to reach down to switch the power mode. I truly hope there is a remote available for handlebar mounting. I think this is still going to be a good bike but there are a couple obviously dumb things Scott did like no button on the handle bar, and if you install a 2nd water cage you cannot plug in the battery. The charging cord faces straight up and cannot be plugged in with a 2nd water bottle cage there. They could have easily made the cord a sideways plug. When you see a couple dumb things like this it makes you question the entire engineering of the bicycle.
I just got this bike a couple days ago and also don’t feel much help from the assist on the highest setting all the way up! It feels like the assist happens in surges and not for very long or strongly. I’m frustrated with it. Also hate not having buttons at the handle bars. Would love your thoughts on it after a couple months.
I was told by the bike shop that they CAN install the buttons, overall a very poor design. Also a poor design the way the plug faces meaning you cannot have a water bottle cage on the seat tube - just stupid, not thinking engineers. As for the power assist, it is definitely there, it just took a week for me to get used to it. Twice now I have run it until dead about 42 miles each times and as soon as it died I could feel the lack of assist. Overall I am satisfied with the power assist now that I get it, but those other two items, the button like you mentioned and the plug facing upward and interfering with a water bottle are just mind blowing stupid in my opinion@@jmarko8720
Hi, greeting from the UK, if I buy the bike in North American, I will have speed limit of 20 Miles per Hour. when I return to the UK, will Scott warranty continuous in the UK ?
Is there any power mode switch buttons on the cockpit/handlebar like Trek's Domane+ (which also uses the TQ motor) or is it purely through the control panel on the top tube (which will be relatively inconvenient I suppose)?
The only switch for adjusting power on the bike is through the top tube display. You should be able to connect your bike computer to the bike though and use that to also change your assist level.
This from my experience climbing. On full power mode, 20km climb elevation 1,000m and return 20km downhill you will still have spare battery capacity of about 35%.

The motor please? I know there are many variables but just an idear would be handy.
Probably about 2-4 hours depending on how much you are using the assist.

No, you cannot chip this bike. If you were to find a way to it would void all warranties that Scott offers.
@@ContenderBicycles At what speed does the TQ motor cut out in the US. In Belgium it is 25 km/h (15 miles/hour)
