How he can take a subject and create double and triple entendres then continue it verse after verse is just one example of his insane talent. It takes so many listens to catch the bars. When you think you have, you listen to it again and you're like 'dam how did I miss that' and he blows your mind again. You guys are still toddlers with his reactions but like I said you are growing with each track.
I actually just said that before I read your comment every other Bar is a double entendre but that’s kind of him and most of his music. I know he does a ton of triple entendres too its just crazy. 🙌🙌🙌

Join the rest of us Stans. LOL. He is the GOAT. Undebatable at this stage. Longevity, flow, cadence, bars etc. Eminem will have you rewinding the track 10 times because you caught the bar and wanna analyze it, and in doing so you caught 2 more things that previously went over you head. To truly understand Eminem you have to go into the song and tell yourself, "What is Eminem gonna teach me today? Because I'm ready to learn sir." A lot of people prefer other rappers and that's 100% okay. He's not everyone's cup of tea. However; you'd be lying to yourself if you ever say that someone does it better. Think about it....Dude called himself "RAP GOD" and literally no other rapper pushed back on that claim. Says it all. He has the respect of his peers to the fullest. "Two words: Michael Jordan". Love you guys. Keep it up.

I also love the wordplay, like when he ends a bar with "blackout, power outage".. Then starts the next bar with "powerless..." It just flows so hard. "They tend to FLOCK like SHEPPARDS, the black SHEEP but I'll be the worst thing that these mfs ever HERD (heard)" Just masterful lyricism

I appreciate how hard you guys are trying especially given how young you are. I feel old bc I thought everyone knew who Clint Eastwood was in all those old western movies and he called his gun the peacemaker lol. He was a preacher in the western pale rider though which is what Em is referring to in this song. Also, He's talking to his best friend Proof who died. You'll get there, keep at it. Loving the reaction through young eyes bc you'll be Stan's soon😉🙌
Clint Eastwood is still making box office movies so the dude on the left should know who he is. I feel like he is the least knowledgable out of the group, but I think he is still the chillest. Close second is dude on the right aka the bar catcher.
"Clint Eastwood looking for peace" should have been "piece" in a lyric video, since that's the obvious slang and the top layer/starting point of the bar before you start digging beneath - the _pun_ of piece/peace is where the 2nd layer reference is to Clint's Peacemaker. So when he's "lookin for piece/peace", he's about to MAKE peace by pulling the gun and puttin em down. _Then_ the HHHs will recognize that Clint Eastwood at all in this song regards Proof which was aka "Derty Harry".
lo que pasa es que Clint Eastwood no es de su cultura, los afroamericanos no son de ver peliculas del estilo Clint Eastwood, es tema cultural, por eso ni lo registran
As a Eminem Stan for 20+ years, u youths are the best Eminem reactors, I love yelawolf 2, this is one of my best tracks. U guys do us fans proud...respect ❤️
YES! That's one of my favorite Eminem features. One of his best verses ever. “Who you think I'm talking 'bout? Lifts me up when I'm down and out, Still look to him without a doubt.” Of course he's talking about Proof. When you have proof, you can have no doubt. So. Fucking. Hard. 🔥🐐🔥
I'm binge watching yall reactions after one rando came up on my feed. it warms my heart seeing how much yall are learning, loving & genuinely appreciating Ems genuis work. Aroha from Aotearoa New Zealand..
I play this song almost daily. His verse speaks to me and I just love it. It's deep and he's speaking about proof. Thank you for reacting to one of my favorites of his ❤
I think a lot of Em fans like watching reactions cause a lot of people shit on him without actually understanding what is being said so it’s cool when people dissect what’s really goin on
I think a lot of people like watching them because they've heard his songs a thousand times and a reaction just gives them another reason to listen to it again with a difference. Anyone could react and people will still watch it.
I'm goona tell you the truth. I'm in my 40s, from Detroit and black. I'm a true hip hop head. Em is number 2 on my GOAT list. But the problem is most of his white stans. Em gives so much love to the hip hop community. But his stans are so disrespectful. If you listen to Em because he's white, cool i get it. But when you then say he's the greatest and Em is really the only person you follow or buy his music. You shouldn't speak on hip hop. I'm not talking about you.
I've always thought Em was talking about his best friend Proof. All the references to 'up above' can be a double entendre to god and Proof. You can just hear the emotion in his verse even years after losing his Best Friend. RIP Proof
12:35 the way Eminem makes “menace to” sound like “minister,” “not a preacher.” I missed that one until I heard this again with lyrics. That’s insane. Edit: I always thought he was saying minister not a preacher, but this makes way more sense now.
"You'll be DOA (dead on arrival) So prepare for arrival (a rival) Your arch enemy surrounds you now" The big punchlines hit you first but the little subtleties like this keep you replaying
Easily one of my favorite Em verses ever. I've been listening to Eminem ever since his first album came out, and every time I hear any old song or even any new song of his, I catch a new bar that I didn't even think about before. The dude is a genius.
This entire verse is doubles of things that Em makes sound the same... Absolute lyrical masterpiece. The lyrics in this case threw you off, because you were taking most lyrics at face value. ❤ some examples: "could have turned Dalai with the Llama" sounds like "could have turned Ali with the lama" - Muhammad Ali with the weapon "I've been a menace to" sounds like "I've been a minister" "'cause I'm a center" sounds like "I'm a sinner" read the "sounds like" in the context of the song, and you'll see what I mean
Exactly why I don't pull up the words until I've listened to how he pronounces the words in all of his songs first. Gotta truly listen several times before I even think about looking up the lyrics. Em is always teaching or schooling ya lol.
thats why em the goat, this man does not say straight things, if you think you understand every bar, you are in for a treat because there is a whole song in a song, that has double meaning and that still makes sense
It’s October 7th 2022, y’all brothas keep me pushing💯💯. Keep reacting to em and his Arsenal....... Y’all helped me through a lot, and so did em. Just know Eminem’s lyrics are therapy to some people💯💯 thank you all for respecting Eminem’s legacy
I don't ever want you to stop doing Em reactions, but you have to react to Yellawolf "pop the trunk". It's the song that made Em sign him and his flow on that is crazy🔥🔥🔥
Best friend is an emotion to all creatures.. Especially when u lost the person and how u handle yourself without them is a real deal.. For Me Em is the best wen comes to bring out the emotions and true feelings, he paints a picture in front of us to see.. How genius♥proud being a stan💯💯
I read somewhere recently that Em had been saved and is a born again Christian. I've never really been a fan and I was skeptical but thought hey, if that's true, then that is AWESOME. I love it when God gets hold of these really talented people! It is such a testimony to the power of God to not only redeem the broken, but then use that very talent to reach those that might not receive the Word from anyone else. Don't want to sound 'preachy', but God is real, He loves you and all you have to do is call out to Him and He will save you. This is proof that you don't have to be 'perfect' to be a Christian. He came to save the lost so that you can be found. Great song, great reaction! Blessings!!
Losing his Best Friend almost KILLED him literally 💔 RIP to our city unofficial mayor Proof 🕊 y'all GOT TO do Chloroceptic remix wit 2 Chains next he go tf OFF at every1 💯💯💯
Not understanding that the second half of Eminems verse was a tribute to his best friend Proof and member of his rap group D12, that was murdered, is disappointing because its one of the hardest tributes ever.. The line about 2pac, Biggie & Proof talking and the end of the verse when hes talking about who he pulls his strength from and saying "And he'll be waiting at the gate when you get sprayed up, sending you hoes straight up to deal with my (best friend)" hes talking about his bestfriend Proof, not God.
As far as the bar heavy song in Em’s catalogue, Alfred’s Theme has to be at the top. It’s not sonically pleasing to everyone but that bowling scheme haunts my dreams still.
Yes.. you keep thinking after every bar it has to be the last part of the scheme but it just keeps going. His word play / knowledge of words / general knowledge of so many different aspects is extremely impressive. People always attribute it to EM reading the dictionary but that is maybe a quarter of it. Someone could read a dictionary every day of their life and still not be able to put bars / verses together. You have to understand the meaning / context of the word and how it applies to whatever situation you are referencing. What makes it even more impressive is the man failed grade 9 3x and then dropped out of school for good. Yet he makes the majority of people look remedial with his general knowledge. EM deserves all the props that he gets; he has certainly put in the work / effort.
so throw on the theme to alfred, i'll channel him like the panama canal but how can i get up in arms about you sayin' trash is all that i put out bitch i still get the bag when i'm puttin garbage out plus the potty mouth i'm not about to wash it out the filthiest, so all this talk about i'm washed up, how preposterous because if cleanliness is next to Godliness Then it's impossible for me to be beside myself and i'm bout that capital like a proper noun, still on top the pile Got you sittin' on numbers, like a pocket dial quick to call you out on your bullshit, don't make me give that crock a dial cause if I do it's see you later alligator, made it out the trailer then I made a vow to cater to no one So hate, I gained about the same amount that in my bank account So here's some more shit for you to complain about..

Watch the video, it's really well done. Clint Eastwood was an actor that was always a badass in Westerns & was Dirty Harry Franchise (45 magnum gun). Dalai Lama - Tibetan Buddhist Monk. Yes, vocabularies increase with Em and he's a poet as well as an MC. Enjoyed your reaction.
I have watched this video so many times purely for the last bars 😂 it gives me chills and makes me laugh every time when the guy literally falls off his chair. Absolute gold reaction ❤
Am I not allowed to be amused by the way someone describes something? Monks are about peace in general. “He’s a monk about peace” is redundant and just a silly way to describe someone. I’m sorry that grammar isn’t funny to you?
The Eastwood line could refer to the movie Pale Rider, where he plays a character known as Preacher, or his movie Unforgiven where his character is a reformed villain turned family man. Great movies, BTW. Yela definitely seems to be referring to Christ, but Em could be doing the same OR he might be talking about the late Proof, his actual best friend.
Ems flow in Go To Sleep is very similar to his flow in The Way I Am and he stays in that angry vengeful pocket he's so good in. Definitely great tracks to listen to.
y’all are getting better with catching the bars 😃 people who don’t know his life/history will always miss some because they don’t have the context, like this being about his best friend Proof. the video helps in this case, because when Em says “who you think i’m talkin bout” he’s posed so that his Proof tattoo is front and center 😢
Hey guys, great reaction to both artists and the song as a whole. Thought I’d let you guys know that Em is literally talking about his best friend, Proof. He mentions him in the line with Iggy Pop, Biggie, and Tupac. That’s the “best friend” Em is talking about but Yelawolf is referring to God as his “best friend”. If you go back and listen to it, from when he says “you’ll be DOA” to the end, you’ll get it. Oh and also, the Bible Belt consists of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Northern parts of South Carolina and East TX. Yelawolf was born in Alabama and raised in Tennessee. Both very much the Heart of the Bible Belt.
This my favourite Eminem verse bar none the way he dilvered everything in his verse pure🔥🔥🔥 The way he put Proof in the booth with PAC n Biggie so much🔥🔥🔥 Respect from Dublin Ireland 👍🇮🇪🇺🇸🇮🇪 Bro I'm from Ireland and even I know Texas is the South 😂😂

I absolutely love y'all's reactions because the first time I listened to it i was alone and had no one to share it with but this is HOW I FELT. I just slid to the floor like WTF did i just listen to?! I literally waited hours for my dad to get home just to have someone to share it with. He's an old school Christian, rap is NOT his thing. Don't get me wrong, he had a great reaction to it but he can't understand the lyricism and metaphors and double entendre. I'm so thankful I can at least watch yeah react to it 😂

When Em says “send you to see my best friend”, he’s talking about Proof. He was shot in Detroit back in 2000’s. He talks a lot about proof and dealing with that loss for him. Also, Proof is dope as hell on the mic too.
12:33 "...for the people I've been a menace to" - menace sounds like "minister" That's why on the following line he says "Not a preacher" (as in not what you heard, not a minister), "but a shit starter and finisher" (as in menace) One of his greatest bars ever imo...
Homies. You guys should pull genius up for real. You’d be so surprised and get why people say you guys still miss a lot. Love the effort though these reactions have gone so fire.
This is probably his most bar heavy verse, ive heard it a million times and i still think there are bars I have missed... Stevie Knight, a reactor that is known for breaking down bars, just gave up on this verse and said "fuck it"
The bars about Clint Eastwood is that as an actor, Clint portrays a rough guy, who looks for peace, but trouble always finds him and he’s not afraid to take it on, but always shows remorse for the bad shit he has to do to take it on, and looks for forgiveness for the things he’s done in the name of good. He’s a soldier, who does bad things in the name of good.

A lot of people prefer other rappers and that's 100% okay.
Keep it up.
Dude this is the best thought I’ve ever seen on the topic. Em makes the claim of Rap God and no rapper pushed back on that claim.

😂 😂 😂
The part when he says “ theyll surround you im all around you”, if you have headphones in that shit plays like a circle around your head 😂

I also love the wordplay, like when he ends a bar with "blackout, power outage".. Then starts the next bar with "powerless..." It just flows so hard.

Did you know Proof was also known as Dirty Harry ?
Man I felt the same way
Clint Eastwood is still making box office movies so the dude on the left should know who he is.
I’m over here with the biggest smile in my face watching y’all !!! This is one of my favorite songs ! I’m 63 and were banging with the best
Yelawolfs Bloody Sunday freestyle is a MUST, if you ever need an indication that yela can hang with the best, it’s this one right here
I like the Mountain Dew Mouth better but they both fire

Yes Bloody Sundy is the height of Yelawolf in my opinion.
This and mountaindew mouth. You all are sleeping on Yelawolf.

YES! That's one of my favorite Eminem features. One of his best verses ever.
“Who you think I'm talking 'bout?
Lifts me up when I'm down and out,
Still look to him without a doubt.”
Of course he's talking about Proof.
When you have proof, you can have no doubt.
So. Fucking. Hard. 🔥🐐🔥

I play this song almost daily. His verse speaks to me and I just love it. It's deep and he's speaking about proof. Thank you for reacting to one of my favorites of his ❤
Been rocking with Yelawolf since 2005..he 🔥
I think a lot of Em fans like watching reactions cause a lot of people shit on him without actually understanding what is being said so it’s cool when people dissect what’s really goin on
🎯
I think a lot of people like watching them because they've heard his songs a thousand times and a reaction just gives them another reason to listen to it again with a difference. Anyone could react and people will still watch it.
Well put😊🤗👍
i just wanna relive that journey i had with em
I'm goona tell you the truth. I'm in my 40s, from Detroit and black. I'm a true hip hop head. Em is number 2 on my GOAT list. But the problem is most of his white stans. Em gives so much love to the hip hop community. But his stans are so disrespectful. If you listen to Em because he's white, cool i get it. But when you then say he's the greatest and Em is really the only person you follow or buy his music. You shouldn't speak on hip hop. I'm not talking about you.
GOTTA BE Chloraseptic remix next! Keep this energy!
I've always thought Em was talking about his best friend Proof. All the references to 'up above' can be a double entendre to god and Proof. You can just hear the emotion in his verse even years after losing his Best Friend. RIP Proof
12:35 the way Eminem makes “menace to” sound like “minister,” “not a preacher.”
I missed that one until I heard this again with lyrics. That’s insane.
Edit: I always thought he was saying minister not a preacher, but this makes way more sense now.
Whole game world wide has to give EMINEM his respect while he’s still here and alive! He deserved and worked for it. One of the top 3 alltime
One of the big ONE
🐐
Whoses above him
"You'll be DOA (dead on arrival)
So prepare for arrival (a rival)
Your arch enemy surrounds you now"
The big punchlines hit you first but the little subtleties like this keep you replaying
some examples:
"could have turned Dalai with the Llama"
sounds like
"could have turned Ali with the lama" - Muhammad Ali with the weapon
"I've been a menace to"
sounds like
"I've been a minister"
"'cause I'm a center"
sounds like
"I'm a sinner"
read the "sounds like" in the context of the song, and you'll see what I mean
Eminem loves his homophones.
Yela got so many 🔥 tracks
Blessings!!
I like how yela practically said "if you disrespect him he'll kill you" in the most respectful way possible lol
Losing his Best Friend almost KILLED him literally 💔 RIP to our city unofficial mayor Proof 🕊 y'all GOT TO do Chloroceptic remix wit 2 Chains next he go tf OFF at every1 💯💯💯
Greatest verse of all time
Not understanding that the second half of Eminems verse was a tribute to his best friend Proof and member of his rap group D12, that was murdered, is disappointing because its one of the hardest tributes ever..
I'm not gonna lie that went over my head too. Now that I know it hits very differently. That's hard ASF!!
EM deserves all the props that he gets; he has certainly put in the work / effort.
so throw on the theme to alfred, i'll channel him like the panama canal
but how can i get up in arms about you sayin' trash is all that i put out
bitch i still get the bag when i'm puttin garbage out
plus the potty mouth i'm not about to wash it out
the filthiest, so all this talk about i'm washed up, how preposterous
because if cleanliness is next to Godliness
Then it's impossible for me to be beside myself
and i'm bout that capital like a proper noun, still on top the pile
Got you sittin' on numbers, like a pocket dial
quick to call you out on your bullshit, don't make me give that crock a dial
cause if I do it's see you later alligator, made it out the trailer
then I made a vow to cater to no one
So hate, I gained about the same amount that in my bank account
So here's some more shit for you to complain about..
"Your arch enemy surrounds you know he's all around you", yall already know what an arch looks like that's such a crazy bar.
Now y’all young niggas know!!! Em is in a category by himself!!! This nigga’s writing level is on genius. Like he can literally write books for a living

You guys are the money!!! And so fun to watch. LMFAO at your comments and reaction.
Mr Eastwood is one of the greatest actors of all time. He played a character called The Preacher in the 1985 movie Pale Rider.
y’all are getting better with catching the bars 😃 people who don’t know his life/history will always miss some because they don’t have the context, like this being about his best friend Proof. the video helps in this case, because when Em says “who you think i’m talkin bout” he’s posed so that his Proof tattoo is front and center 😢

I just slid to the floor like WTF did i just listen to?! I literally waited hours for my dad to get home just to have someone to share it with. He's an old school Christian, rap is NOT his thing.
