The problem with buying a Wagoneer, whether you are paying $75k or $150k, you'll get the exact same service as a $25k Jeep Compass. Having owed several brands, from Ford, BMW, Audi, Honda, to a Chrysler, by far, the Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealership experience, from sales to service is horrible, I won't wished it on my worst enemy. Brought my brand new 300C in for service, told them about the leaking sunroof, frozen infotainment system, rear door handles don't work, and squeaking dash. Picked up my car 4 days later, all they did was an oil change and "forgot" all the other service requests. Decided to take my business to another Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep place, on my way, the ECU completely died, towed to the next dealer, they said the ECU is "fried", it will be 4 weeks before a new ECU arrived, told them all the issues under warranty, said they'll be on it. 5 weeks passed, picked up the car, they replaced the ECU, infotainment system, but never touched the other issues. It took 4 different dealerships to fixed all the issues under warranty, this was the last time we owed a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep product. Buying a car is en expensive purchase, you also have to factor in the amount of money you throwing at them for the dealership experience.
Tottaly agree about the very bad customer service. I bought a new 21 Grand Cherokee L when it was released, had some minor quality control issues, and the dealer experience was so bad from sales to service. Traded it after one year only to X7, and customer service at BMW is night and day compared to Jeep.
Agreed! I own a Model Y and it's dropped half it's price in 2 years. It's mainly a problem with EV's due to some battery degredation. I will say, I am enjoying it though and don't regret it. (Don't worry, I have a fun gas car as well, I'm not a big EV hippy).
You mean the Velar not the Evoque. The Evoque is too short and stubby looking to compare it to this. It’s much more in line with the Velar in its looks.
This product really confuses me😂 Chrysler is a dying brand with 1 model on sell. Why didn’t they badge this as a Chrysler and move Chrysler up market as an EV brand. Jeep has plenty of new models in the lineup IMO.
I actually really like this vehicle. If it wasn't the fact that I couldn't even come close to affording it, I would certainly get one. The exterior is decent looking. The dash is very nice, considering how uninspiring so many new car dashes are, these days. But alas,....I won't be able to get one. I'm fine with a 'dead feeling steering wheel'. I also REALLY like that it doesn't have fake sounds. What I would probably wish different were a bit wider tires/wheels, but ultimately, it would probably be okay for most driving.

@@DRayL_ i doubt they do a trail version (despite the concept shown) if the the rumors are true that the ICE variant of the Wagoneer S is the next Cherokee, that would get the Trailhawk version cause there isn’t anything luxurious about crawling on rocks. Might be their best product all reliability jokes aside. Pretty promising. Read a comment saying at the wagoneer price point, you expect Lux brand levels of service but will be met with sub par Chrys, Jeep, dodge srvc. If that’s true, that will need to change if they want buyers from other brands (Lex, Merc, Toyota, BMW, etc; a mix of lux and or reliability)
i was told by a dealer it had level 2 driving assist but through my research i couldnt find an answer. I know the summit/overland 4xe's have level 2 highway, and i really wanted to see this on it. not sure why they wouldnt add it when theyve had it on 4xe's for 3 years already
My question is why are we being forced to buy 600hp SUVs that cost so much, where are the affordable BEVs!? EVs are a challenge already to begin with, but even those are all priced out of most people's budgets. We need Honda Civic of EVs.
Really want to see the range/charging in real world conditions. Plus how much the lower trims are. American brands have always played the "high msrp, with discounts" game, just dialed to 11 post covid.
Gas model might get a couple inches of ground clearance unless that battery girth has a lower fixed point they cannot get around with that platform. Jeep with under 8" clearance is pretty shocking - plus that adds risk to those batteries - maybe I'm wrong so feel free to correct. I have a hunch - it is more a cross over like the Toyota Signia.
5:18 what’s with the front overhang and dash-to-axle ratio? (Same with the other Wagoneer models) As an EV they can place the wheels wherever they want. Why give it FWD proportions unless they’ll be using a FWD gas powertrain, which I doubt.
The interior is amazing in this. Being a Jeep owner, they really need to bring this quality to all other Jeep models. Hopefully the reliability will be good, but personally it's a hit or miss with any Stellantis vehicle.
