I just watched Liverpool vs Brentford game (men’s) then I looked at this thinking, what nonsense am I watching. I can legit play in this game, when the men’s I cannot dream of playing with them. People legit think women can play at PL level. Equal pay here is not valid, even they are earning more than some men at lower levels and those teams would absolutely clobber them!
Your understanding of sports is very shallow. Sports is more than just performance, but fans emotional attachment to the players and club, admiration for the passion and hard work they gave, which no matter the quality of game, fans would still support them because of those.
And these women didn't ask for equal pay, but payment that is feasible for the business of their sport. USWNT had a case to make because they attract comparable audiences to their male counterparts.
