She had one of prettiest voices That head voice alone would have loved to see her take head voice up in 6th octave

who knows maybe she did in an unseen performance or unreleased song im sure she was capable, but agreed and she had so much potential ☹️

@@dolphinriah6590 she has jokingly access her whistle register, while recording journey to the past, there was a footage of her doing it, and she did it with these. I am more than confident she could’ve been higher in her head voice she had a lot of ease up there she chose her notes stylist wise, rather than going for range, but I do believe, her album, One In A Million showed us how fluent her head voice was her transitioning from chest head we would’ve definitely saw more and she was only in her teens

In the studio she was relaxed compared to live. Her voice was way more powerful.

I think that the shakiness in her was nerves. Remember she was only 18 or 19 years old, living and performing in this world wind of a bid dream she envisioned for herself. Of course the studio version is going to be polished and less nervous for her. Still, she was a stunning and talented young woman. Thankfully, through her music (and couple of movies) she continues to live on. Much love to her, her family and fans❤. Dare to Dream Big for yourselves 🙏!!!

she was 19 and the youngest to ever perform at the oscars ik the stage fright was real bad 😭.. she still did great but u can tell she was nervous compared to the rosie o donnell performance where even tho she was sick she was more confident

@@dolphinriah6590 So I know people say she was nervous singing at the Oscars; however, do not think that was the entire truth about its kind of like Mariah Carey's song If it's Over. In the beginning of the song, she's singing more from a concerned, pleading POV the middle of the song now Shes frustrated, and the end of the song accepted that the relationships over. long story short Aaliyah may have been nervous, but the song is telling a story where in the beginning Shes unsure and scared hints the lyrics so singing from a restrained pulled back POV makes sense. Then the end Shes confident after "home, love, family" lyrics. she was not just telling a singing a song but vocally telling a story!!

as a side note i saw the actual musical in person two weeks ago and aaliyah not holding it out for like 15 seconds or whatever the length was and doing those adlibs instead took me by surprise, bc her belts definitely sound like she could've done it? she had so much potential

She was sick in in this performance of rosie . And second aaliyah uses a different voice technique live than in a studio .just listen her acapella at a radio station. Song calls i refuse or her ave maria. Her singing voice soounds exact the same as her studio vocals. In the 90 ties she sings in a lower voice to sound older .
