I bought a long cable for my monitor and one long usb-exenstion cord and put my computer in another room and closed the door. There it sits sounding like a jet motor on fire, and I can't hear it at all. So this may be a cheap and effective alternative if you have room to spare.
You. Saved. My. Life. At first my fan started to make noise randomly, and didn't take the time to deal with it. Then it started to make this horrible noise almost constantly, and Iit became a real pain. I tried to slap it, to lower the noise for 20s, put paper in it (yes I did), have been watching a lot of videos explaining I should lower my cpu power, cool the air in my room, .... Then I found your video, and did all mentioned in it. It's easy. I just had to replace the sticker with an adhesive, and it was ok (spread a bit of lubricant and the sticker wouldn't stick anymore xD). And now, my computer don't make any sound. And I realized how much noisy it became and the real PAIN it was. I should have done that earlier, but you really change my working condition. Thanks !! Thanks so much !!! (Honestly it was such a pain, I wonder how I could for so long with this noise)
Have you ever tried these fans? I've used them in all my PC builds and they're still going strong after many years of use. Sharkoon "Golf Ball" Fan. Quiet 19 dB Case Fan - 36.7 CFM
Yes Brian I think a lot depends on the size of the fan I have six in my main desktop build which I used three 200mm fans that run reasonably slowly therefore less noise. I never used 120mm fans unless I really have to because it stands to reason they have to spin faster to move the amount of air through the machine. Plus I used a particular brand of fan called Silent something or other and although they were very reasonably priced were also very quiet but unfortunately, they are unavailable anymore. I have to say I did fit an internal fan speed controller too which again allows me to run the fans at what speed I want. But a good video mate for a common issue.
I have seven Arctic P12 120mm fans, as well as a D5 water pump, all running at 100% full-time in my be quiet! Silent Base 802 case and I can barely tell that my PC is on. If you want a quiet system, buy good fans and put them in a good case. It's as easy as that.
The fans are running at 11 , when you need that extra push ! PWM controls the duty cycle ( one time verses off time based on the powering DC square wave ) going to the armature inside the motor
Thank you so much for this video! I just put my new computer together and was wondering why my CPU fan was so loud while watching UA-cam videos, I just needed to start on smart fan in my BIOS!
This has been useful! I do have a question. Regarding fans, are there any that are built in to the PC so you can't replace them? because for some reason I can't disconnect mine no matter what I do.
I wish you or someone else would do a video on PSU noise. I bought a new more powerful graphics card and while my 750 W power supply can handle it The fan in the PSU gets way louder now when playing heavy load games. I think it’s just because my PSU is having to output more watts and getting hotter. I’m not sure if me getting a higher watt power supply or a higher quality 80+ rating would make a difference. I have bronze now.
@@groot_racing I bought a better psu, a consair 850 gold rated and it is super quite. It was definitely just that my old psu was being pushed so close to its limit and heating up.
My new pc avarages between 55 or 77 DBs and it's driving me crazy, because i bought 4, really expensive but good quality Coler Master MF120Rs and they are just soo loud
you are right I think mine is making me deaf, because the only place I have from for my 40L is in front of me and it can get nosy on graphic intensive games, when I drive in my car and listen to the radio now the sound never seems right now. and the TV have to turn up
Calling BS on the Arctic fan specs displayed at 4:51. Noise level is 0.3 sone, which is equivalent to 10.5db, and that is impossible for a dc fan that outputs 56.3cfm, not even close.
Sorry if this is answered already, but if I control my fans and run them more slowly, how do I know if my computer is running too hot? I have a Dell tower that has crazy loud fan or fans. I would like to swap them and take control of the situation.
Ngl, I thought my laptop was broken- I hadn’t used it for like a month and when I turned it on the fans sounded like an airplane, it’s a gaming laptop so it’s meant to handle anything so I was really confused. My cpu temperature was fine ( 58 ) Idk if that’s okay i might be dumb btw )
Your computer is loud because you have a GTX ZOTAC graphics card. nothing in the world will make that thing quiet. It doesn't even have a 0 rpm mode when youre in desktop. I had a 1660ti AMP Zotac card, got so fed with it that i threw it in the bin after 9 months

Can't hear the fans over the cameraman's heavy breathing
Surprising how much difference a good quality fan makes. Most people keep the cheap fans they get with the case
Yeah, that is part of the problem
My PC fans suck ass. CyberPower PC.
I've Lianli 011D with 9 SL Unifans and mannn it's loudddd 🥴.even on standard fan speed
remember everyone has budget
@Michealschatbox I know that but I'm talking about the people who spend a small fortune on builds and still use crap fans

I lost it when you said "I slapped it" 🤣🤣🤣 me too bro, me too. It's good that we got the Internet to actually learn 💪
The larger the fan the less noise they make because they can be run slower and still push air through the case well.
Your breathing is louder though mate! Great video

if you have a fan hub in the back of your PC plug the fan hub into your motherboard, find where it is in your bios, and set it as PWM instead of DC
My new 11th gen Intel gaming build is whisper quiet, just like my other two systems. I like quiet computers.
My fan spinning at 2000RPM makes no noise, and my other fan at 800RPM can be heard from across the room
Listening to this while I fully rebuild my pc adding the new optimus kingpin 3090 waterblock 💪😎
Using only corsair ML120 pro fans for both rads.
Very Nice

That is correct
My computer is practically silent. My old Windows ME PC I used to have though, that was like a jet taking off!

I've had the loudest pc for so long and going into my bios to check fan speed I realised my fans weren't even set to pwm mode 😂
Thank you for your very useful content. I always appreciate your videos and explanation.
Oh I hope my fan can can produce sound like this so I can play fly simulator game with real feel
I can sense your humour but sadly it's not that funny 😂

I ended up swapping out all my Lian li argb fans for some Arctic p12's they are fantastic, sure the RGB looks cool for a bit but I rather not go deaf
I thought lian Li Dan's weren't bad ?you didn't like them ? I know noctua are the best and artic 12 seems to be second
Thanks mate well helpful 👍
That is the main point of liquid-cooled PCs. Less noise.
Liquid-cooled PCs have fans on the radiators that will add to the noise level.
Hej Brian thanks for the video and thanks for your videos 2021 Happy New Year Brian take care.
Happy new year!
Where did you get that decibel meter I want one
Amazon
For me the problem was that for some reason my fan curve was set based on DC instead of pwm or something for some reason
I Don't have This Issue On My PC at All My PC is So Quite Thank God for That!
My pc so loud even at minimum speed 🗿
I just use a fan control panel at front of computer, so I don't need to go into bios evertime to change fan speeds 😜

You can't complain about the noise of computer fans, when the computer should complain about the noise of your breathing.

You forgot to tel when you make a fancurve in PWM you have to apply it ,to enable it.You cannot confirm it by enable DC again.

Guys this is so irritating whenever i try to do homework at 3 AM my parents wake up.
How to fly with your pc
Step 1: turn fan on jet mode
Step 2: sit on you pc
Step 3: Turn pc on and enjoy!!
If fan speed run slow then cpu temperature will be reached 59⁰C then what to do
Increase your fan speed
I used to be able to control my fan speeds in my bios but it doesnt work anymore for some reason and i dont know whats changed.

when i play world of warcraft my fans are normal when i play witcher3 on ultra graphic my fans go really fast but i have good fps what should i do
Witcher is way more demanding of a game! Have you checked you GPU temps/fans?
why when i load big games on pc "beamng drive for example" my fans start getting really loud?
My fan is connected to a built-in motherboard port
It constantly spins at 2800 RPM
I can't control the fan speed
It used to be able to be silent
You can connect Arctic PST fan to CPU pin and daisy chain all other fans to it.
You can yes
breathing is louder than the fan.

My pc runs at 61 db none stop and everything i tried didnt make it better even buyed good fans but nothing makes it better no fan curve nothing

How did you go to the menu to controller the fans

my fan only goes crazy when i open facebook or youtube idk why
Shhhhh it's snoring
If i set a fan to quiet will it stay quiet if I'm gaming or will it speed up because I don't want my cpu overheating because the fan is going too slow
