- After taking an unexpected stop in La Cruz, a wonderful family invited me to stay at their eco-hotel, Posada de Bienestar. The kindness they showed me was truly unforgettable. Bonding with the boys, learning to make Chiliguaro, visiting the farm where they grow their food, and experiencing the true spirit of Costa Rican hospitality.
I bought a 125cc motorcycle that I didn't know how to ride, so I could roadtrip Costa Rica solo, camping on beaches, foraging for food, crossing rivers, getting adopted by different families along the way, and collecting heartfelt memories.
If you come to Guanacaste, Costa Rica, you must stay Posada de Bienestar. It's at the top of the hill by the big La Cruz sign.

I watched this, crying my eyes out about bird, even though I knew what happened. Then went to drop my car off at the garage... and the universe guided me to an injured baby pigeon on the way home! 😢 Bird 2 is currently home with me, awaiting a vet visit.

Little pidge had to be put to sleep. It was badly injured where other birds had attacked it. But at least it had love & wasn't left to suffer by a main road.

If you learn to stand on your foot pegs you will have more control over the bike than sitting with your feet flailing around

you really need to brush up on your riding skills before you scar others . . . it may seem funny now but it doesn't take any more than 8 mph to kill someone, falling over on a bike, no helmet, head whips and smashes into the concrete, can spell serious injury or worse, ask me how I know. . . not trying to be a dick but riding is a serious affair and should be taken as such, and then you laughed at him? have to wonder if you ever apologized for being so wreckless? you as the pilot the second you put a passenger on the back are responsible for that persons health and welfare... remember this, always
He is a grown man and was his choice to join me on the adventure, knowing full well my lack of experience 🤷♀️
