wonder when hes going to race against 110% ai starting last in a williams drifting in the wet with slick tyres and with a hardcore damage mod using a guitar hero as controller with one foot balancing on the other and blindfolded while only using first gear and changing tires every lap

Since Jarno used to kill the AI in a Williams in F1 2020, the fact that he sweated the 2021 game and still couldn't win makes me feel better about myself.
I used to race at 105-107 difficulty on F1 2020 and in this new game, even 100 difficulty is proving to be tough. It'll take a lot longer to get a handle on the new driving mechanics than I thought it would.

Okay... I'm feeling really dumb here... The car/team you choose makes a difference?? Like in multiplayer, where it randomly assigns teams, am I at a disadvantage if I end up with Haas?? Does this mean I should immediately try to switch to, say Mercedes or Red Bull??
No, multiplayer is usually set to equal car performance. Career/My Team/Grand Prix has realistic car performance unless you choose otherwise

For me to do this it would have to be 40% AI ,auto gears, racing lines assist,low braking assist, ers and drs assisted, and saving mid session twice a lap to make sure i can rewind when i hit the barriers

Would you say that this year's AI is stronger for the same rating as F1 2020? I had to drop my difficulty from 100 to 90-95 in early tests, wonder if it's me not used to the car or the AI getting stronger.

oh you're actually jarno. was looking for some skilled driver playing in hard mode xD i'm discovering the game in hard difficulty (70%), finished last within 2.5 seconds of the car in front. the last f1 game i played was f1 ce on ps3 (available on console launch developped by studio liverpool) greats physics and ia, probably better than f1 series. i was used to play so many f1 game when i was young. then theses lasts 15 years i stopped playing f1 games, i just growed up and has many projects. now with esports and hype around f1 events and youtube, just found motivation back to play (a little) again. but yeah, definitely not a game you want play 5 minuts or 20 hours. if you want learn the tracks and get skilles, you need hundreds hours of practice. car are very tricky to control in simulation mode, i still uses infinite flashback cause i play on full lenght events. and memorising the track when you don't played for 15 years is also a complicated task. good luck for 2022. can't wait for following edition because of complete new role. i bet f1 game will be much more fun than it already is.
