One small tip for ppl who have not performed this task before. Just one drop of Brake fluid landing on your Plastic Dash or Plastic Screen will mark it permanently. Remove your plastic screen and cover your Dash with Glad wrap to protect it when you are bleeding your Master cylinder.Better to be safe then sorry )))
I just bought a set of brake lines and tires from you guys.. you guys through in free brake fluid and brake cleaner with the lines, I think I would of took a free brake bleeder fluid baggy instead. lol.. I didn't even know you had these for sale, maybe link these in the website when your looking at lines or fluid. I would of bought one if I saw it. ( maybe it was linked and I didn't see it?) ether way, thanks for being such a great shop to buy from. I never hesitate to buy anything from you guys!
Thanks for the feedback! Thanks also for your purchase!
I got some of these for my 600rr and I can't wait to try them. Great video
Spiegler makes excellent brake lines. - Van
I ordered the Speigler Rennsport kit for my 2009 CBR1000RR and the lines were almost maxed out when wrapped in front of the triple. Ran them behind but there is little clearance. We'll see if they hold up!
If there is an issue with the length of the lines and you purchased them from us please reach out the the team at orders@sportbiketrackgear.com so we can help get this sorted out. - Van

Excellent video! Thanks STG :). Greetings from Bulgaria.
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I feel confident tackling my bike now. Except that mine is an ABS model. There is an additional part that the break lines attach to which leads to the side of the bike and ultimately disappears under the tank.
Is it important for this to be still connected? Can I still get this done and ignore the ABS lines or am I going to cause more harm than good. I would really appreciate your input on this.
If you plan to keep the ABS on the bike you will need an ABS specific kit to get that done. We have a few videos on other models that were equipped with ABS and we installed a brake line kit. Here is a link to one of these videos: ua-cam.com/video/OlLt1E_7G5I/v-deo.html - Van
I know its a different brand but my galfer lines look the exact same and they had them flipped the other way. So the line coming straight off the master went straight down to brake lever side caliper and then that line at the T went over to the clutch side caliper. So then the mount on the triple tree would line with that metal lip. But hey whats it matter it works then it works
08 ZX-10R stock routing runs behind the forks(uses 3 lines like the Rennsport kit) which I prefer because, to me, the routing in front of the forks gives too much exposure to the brake lines - looks funky. So, what is the reasoning behind your routing choice? Kawasaki's choice was behind the forks.
Excellent video, love the work! I recently installed some lines for my 2013 1000 RR and I notice st highway speeds the front fender is vibrating quite a bit, from a visual perspective. Could the removal of the OEM lines and their connection to the fender sides perhaps lead to a more vibration prone fender? It was so severe I’m considering reinstalling the OEM set. Could it be I’ve never noticed the vibration with an OEM setup? All else was good with the install.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and keep the shiny side up!
I do not feel the brake line kit will cause the fender to vibrate. Make sure you have all of the fasteners in the the front fender before you chase this problem down. If you feel the vibration in the bars you may have a front tire that is out of balance. - Van
I have tried one of those vacuum bleeders and it was good, but I have had better luck with one of the JIMS USA brake bleeders. I think it was because it pushes the fluid into the caliper instead of sucking it out.
When you order the front brake lines are they already set up with a T module ??
The line comes completely assembled and ready to install. That junction block has the line attached when you receive it. - Van
Brian Van does the best how to videos but somehow always ends up costing me money LOL.
Appreciate that and thank you for watching! - Van
What is the exact name of the hose clamp tool that changes the direction of the hose? I want to buy it, but I don't know the name of the blue clamp tool.
We do not sell this tool separately, Spiegler includes this with each of their brake line kits. It is a disposable, plastic tool kit designed to work with their line kits. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Oh, it's included in the breakline kit without selling much! Thank you for your answer!
Is there any benefit to running the Rennsport style over the dual line version (one line per caliper)? This is for a bike that’s used mostly on the street and sees only a few track days a year.
The only real benefit is there is only one line up at the master cylinder so it is a little cleaner. The brakes function the same. - Van
hello Brian, I noticed you routed the lines in front of the forks. would you recommend routing it the same way for non-usd forks? thanks
does it matter if you wire the lines in front or behind the forks? I have a 2008 R6. ive seen them done both ways
I've typically seen the lines ran behind the forks so they are out of the way. I am pretty sure there was less binding on my R6 when ran this way and that is how it is on my bike now. Good luck with the front install! ~Aubrey
i ended up running them around the front like van did! thanks alot
:)
????.
If I want to order this type of line for my 2016 cbr 1000 rr how did I order them.
Here is a link to these lines for your bike on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/parts/honda/cbr1000rr/2016/?_bc_fsnf=1&Department=Brakes&brand=53 - Van
This bike you worked on does not have ABS, is that correct?
You are correct this was a non-ABS model. - Van
many thanks again for the awesome videos.
do i have to take the nose fairing off the bike to do the job? or everything is still accessible with out taking the fairing off? also whats the name of the brake fluid you were using?
also i would really appropriate it it you'd do fairings replacement job on the fireblade.
+Tito Neal Unfortunately we will likely not be able to do a fairing replacement video as we have already given away the CBR used in these videos. :(
You do not need to remove the fairings, just be sure that when you are bleeding the brakes you do not get any of the brake fluid on any part of your motorcycle fairings!
The brake fluid used in this video is Motul RBF 600!

Thanks a ton for watching!
Is there any reason you choose the color you did and if you could do it again, what color does Van put on?
I am all in on the yellow lines with blue fittings right now. - Van

Sportbike Track Gear post it up!
Thank you.for u Time...
You are welcome and thank you for your time. - Van
i got my m4 from you guys and i must say I'm so fucking happy with the product and your great service :)
Much appreciated Eduardo! ~Aubrey
So why wouldn't you use a proper torque wrench for something as important as brake lines?
Thank you for watching and your feedback. Many of these install videos, Brian tries to put emphasis on using simple tools that most people will have in their garages. Not everyone has a set of torque wrenches to use for bike maintenance, etc. so he shows you the install using the tools that most people have access to. ~Aubrey
