Zayn gets HUGE anxiety for performing, and a lot of dedicated fans were crying at this performance, because we haven't seen Zayn smile for a LONG time, and when those girls kept saying how proud they were, he smiled.
zayn has pretty bad anxiety which is why he doesn't do many live performances - his like I would performance happened after a huge anxiety attack and tons of reassurance from his staff and stuff. you can literally see him loosen up and gain confidence as the song goes on. Anyways, I personally think he had the best voice in One Direction (just my opinion), and their live stuff is incredible with him.
He literally almost didn’t go on. He was throwing up before....I don’t think there’s any live performances since then. He realized it was easier with 4 other people up there with him, even though THAT wasn’t easy for him either. He writes and streams A LOT of music though.
