Big pro of the electric augers folks tend to overlook is this. Regardless of the speed, you don't have gas leaking all over your hands or the auger itself. Fish don't like bait handled with gas hands, and you defiantly aren't doing yourself any favors scenting your hole with gasoline. No more carrying a second set of gloves around just to handle the auger.
    Thanks for the Video!

Thanks for the input, I’ve been using electric for as long as I can remember so I’ve never thought of that, but it makes total sense! For me it’s always been about the weight, can’t beat being 10-20 pounds lighter than the gas alternatives!

Is there a bit of wobble where the auger attaches
    to the drill? Maybe
    the screw wasn't tight.

I’ve never noticed any wobble after running it extensively for a full season and one trip out this year, I can see where the video makes it look like that though.

@@CCOutdoors that's why I asked, just bought mine yesterday and it had a good wobble, but I think it wasn't tight enough. Will it block when It will be tight enough ? I didn't want to strip the screw by overtightening it

Thanks! I ran the ion x prior to the 40v and it was a great auger!

Im picking one up next week? So you like it for redrilling holes? I do most of my fishing in my shack so use the same holes my gas Eskimo was good but to re drill them it would always bite and catch on the edge of the hole

It’s awesome for re drilling holes, I’ve never used an auger that’s better for it

I’m not sure I understand your comment, but no you won’t damage anything by removing or inserting the battery, my batteries have been in and out a ton in the past year with no damage to them.

How is this auger for re drilling holes. Like in an ice castle? After they have froze over

Sounds like your internet can’t handle 1080p60, I think the Sony A6400 does just fine.
Also, these augers aren’t that expensive when you put them next to the other electric auger options! 😉
