Tommy spent a lot of time as a KISStory writer, their manager, and more behind the scenes. Paul and Gene still nickname Tommy as "KISS Fan" behind the scenes. He used to be part of a KISS Tribute Band named Cold Gin in the late 70's before going into Black N Blue before opening for KISS in the 80's, then they asked him to fill in for Archives and as a manager, and then he retaught Ace his own guitar parts. But when Ace left permanently and that's when Paul and Gene asked if he wanted to fill in, that is the time when he jumped at the chance! I have met all 4 of them and Tommy is about as Down to Earth as the days are long. When we spoke he made me feel like I could speak with him as a fan because I could sense the energy that he had as a genuine fan himself which truly calmed me down. I was only 14 years old and saved $1,385 within three years while earning $6 a week for chores. I was bullied to the brink of suicide and Sonic Boom is what saved my life and made me drop the knife. Paul coached me and started to help me get a breather as I explained it through my tears for the first time ever after our photo session. The band encouraged me to speak publicly because my story can have the power to save people's lives as well. At 19, I'm graduated from High School as of June the 4th last year and am now an advocate against Bullying Behavior and Suicidal Behavior with six sites and a YT Channel that I'm trying to work. Their patience was off the charts and they were beyond supportive of what I had to say.

At 55, i would still love a chance to see them. They were always so dedicated to Detroit audiences.
I needed ear plugs because it was so loud, and when they sang God gave rock and roll to you, I cried. They are amazing, if you ever get the chance to see them live, GO!!!

I grew up with Kiss. I was roughly 4 yrs old in '77. I will be 47, on March 31, 2020. I'm still a fan. The question was; what makes Kiss different ? My answer is; there isn't another band like them. But, a lot of bands started because of Kiss. I wish Kiss all the best on their final farewell tour. Thanks fellas for all you done for rock n roll.
It's the makeup and costumes. Hides away all the age when you seem them on stage. Plus, their music was never terribly demanding stuff to play, so they don't have to compromise the music any for health reasons.

Paul Stanley's build I'd have to say is amazing for his age. I seen a video on him at 70 he looks 40 shape wise and in good shape. I was blown away most 70 yr Olds are barley able to walk well. All of them look good.
These guys are Legendary, There's never really been a Reason for them to break up since the 70's they're still at it today and they've always been true to their fans and that's why they still have a very big following these days, I hope to see the band alive for the next few years.
My wife and I saw the the world wide alive tour 2004 we were 12 row on the floor I went to bed and woke up with my ears still ringing! It was awesome ! One of the best times in my life! KISS fan for life!
I've loved this group since I was 9 years old watching them on the Paul Lynne Halloween TV special. If you can't win the world with sheer musical talent then go Barnum and Bailey in theatrics... that is what KISS did; they gave us fans the greatest show on Earth. Gordon

I went to see them in concert when I was 8 or 9 and it was a night to remember. It was the best day of my life. Especially when I got spaceman autograph on a guitar pic. It was awesome and I will never forget that day. I just wish I could see them again and keep reliving that moment.😄❤

I saw them perform in Laughlin and later checked out videos of their '96 reunion shows. If there is anything I miss from the original lineup, it's the awesome intro Ace Frehley did for Cold Gin.
He has said in interviews that it doesn't take him as long to do his make-up, so he gets ready and then sings a bit, does some stretching exercises and then needs some quiet time before the show. I think he also does the majority of the interviews. Maybe he needs space for that?
I went to this concert and was able to go backstage, my friend was wking for them. Gene Simmons was the only one greeting fans, he was super nice and fun with everyone-the others couldn't be bothered.....It was AMAZING AND FUN!!!

Peter was a total sweetheart, even let me hang out while he was still putting him make up on and offered my mom and I food. Paul and Gene were really nice too. Ace was the rudest of them. He signed something for me and then kind of brushed me off. The other 3 actually took time to talk to me and take pictures. Was surprised because I figured Ace would have been the coolest. This was between 2001-2005 if I remember right.

I saw them perform in Laughlin and later checked out videos of their '96 reunion shows. If there is anything I miss from the original lineup, it's the awesome intro Ace Frehley did for Cold Gin.

He has said in interviews that it doesn't take him as long to do his make-up, so he gets ready and then sings a bit, does some stretching exercises and then needs some quiet time before the show. I think he also does the majority of the interviews. Maybe he needs space for that?

I went to this concert and was able to go backstage, my friend was wking for them. Gene Simmons was the only one greeting fans, he was super nice and fun with everyone-the others couldn't be bothered.....It was AMAZING AND FUN!!!
@Elmo Bolan that’s awesome! I’ve been fortunate enough to meet all 4 originals. My dad used to play golf with Doc and he brought us backstage a few times. Peter was a total sweetheart, even let me hang out while he was still putting him make up on and offered my mom and I food. Paul and Gene were really nice too. Ace was the rudest of them. He signed something for me and then kind of brushed me off. The other 3 actually took time to talk to me and take pictures. Was surprised because I figured Ace would have been the coolest. This was between 2001-2005 if I remember right.
The lady could have been much more brilliant. She was insulting the band...the interview should have been done by someone who actually knows and respects the history of kiss.
leokimvideo: Um, Tommy retaught Ace his guitar parts before the reunion tour and Ace has been a great friend and mentor to him ever since as well. Tommy spent a lot of time as a KISStory writer, their manager, and more behind the scenes. Paul and Gene still nickname Tommy as "KISS Fan" behind the scenes. He used to be part of a KISS Tribute Band named Cold Gin in the late 70's before going into Black N Blue before opening for KISS in the 80's, then they asked him to fill in for Archives and as a manager, and then he retaught Ace his own guitar parts. But when Ace left permanently and that's when Paul and Gene asked if he wanted to fill in, that is the time when he jumped at the chance! I have met all 4 of them and Tommy is about as Down to Earth as the days are long. When we spoke he made me feel like I could speak with him as a fan because I could sense the energy that he had as a genuine fan himself which truly calmed me down. I was only 14 years old and saved $1,385 within three years while earning $6 a week for chores. I was bullied to the brink of suicide and Sonic Boom is what saved my life and made me drop the knife. Paul coached me and started to help me get a breather as I explained it through my tears for the first time ever after our photo session. The band encouraged me to speak publicly because my story can have the power to save people's lives as well. At 19, I'm graduated from High School as of June the 4th last year and am now an advocate against Bullying Behavior and Suicidal Behavior with six sites and a YT Channel that I'm trying to work. Their patience was off the charts and they were beyond supportive of what I had to say.
