Honestly in some scenarios toe pokes are great especially in tight spaces

Toe poke is super useful when you have no time to think of what shot to make especially near the goal. Since it is not that predictable, the keeper has no idea exactly which way the ball will go (neither would I)

The science behind the curve shot (or at least what I think) so when you first kick the ball high it has lots of friction (obviously) but the air will make it have less and less friction (obviously) But it’s Still spinning fast so the air around the ball is also spinning depending on which way the ball spins that is the direction it will go because it has less friction than the air that is spinning around it so it will go to where the most movement is (in the air) so since the air around it is moving in a certain direction depending on what direction the air is spinning is where the ball will go
