One thing I DO like about knockoff figures is there are some hilariously weird ones lol. The weirder they are the more I want them. Also, one question, ABSOLUTELY everything Lego makes (down to the 1x1) says Lego on it. But not the figures, why???
Nils Nyman I’m pretty sure the figures have it but in hard to notice places (the other side of the arms and the top of the neck and the inside of the stud hole on the head)
@@liamkavanagh4150 And between the studs for the legs. Also every printed torso must have that mark on the neck (it's required for assembly). However between around 1990 and 2010 Lego used heads with an open stud; those in fact did not have any mark.

Another giveaway that you didn’t mention really was that if the mini figs are with different mini figures from different universe such as at 9:20. Marvel doesn’t normally go with DC!
I’m a big eBay shopper for marvel minifigures and luckily I’m always able to tell if it’s fake in the description and if they say the set numbers. But it’s so annoying everything I search more than half of it is bootleg.
There is an entire stall at a local flea market that sells ONLY fake Lego and claims that everything is real. Even things like Lego DBZ minifigures, aka something that doesn't even exist to begin with.
I think a lot of these knock-off sellers have dozens of accounts to buy from themselves to help up their legitimacy. Get all those sales under an account and suddenly you look reputable.
I think there are two schools of thought here. 1) You have the shameless knock offs where they are just like existing products. That's wrong. Whereas 2) you can get figures that aren't knock offs but rather figures that have been customized that aren't based on existing sets. I feel like there is a separate place for those (Brickmania for example).
@@evereliminator1453 I just think its wasteful and generally not a good thing to just buy something to throw the m away, plus I have some 3rd party minifigures that are just as good as the official legos
I went to a anime convention years back when I didn’t look at minifigures for the LEGO branding and these people were selling “LEGO” minifigs, calling them actual LEGO. Think it was $15 for 3 and I saw at the back of the stall a lady putting the arms off from those individual wrapped bags. I bought a few because I was really excited but didn’t know better. Only a year or so later I realize l realized they weren’t real. Don’t know if that couple selling them didn’t know better but still, was disappointing.
While I do not support fakes, however, it's true LEGO priced their minifigures way too expensive. Let's compare them to hotwheels. For hotwheels, they are made up of metal and plastic parts, together with licensing of the various car brands. They also have top designers designing new castings. It's also bigger than LEGO minifigure in 1:64 scale. Their cost in the US? $0.94 at walmart (I don't live in the US so I do not know the exact pricing. But, a mainline typically cost $0.94) Meanwhile, LEGO also have designers designing the minifigure, however, they are all plastic AND no bigger than a hotwheels car. Their cost? $3.49 to $4.99. I don't really justify the price point of minifigures. Yes, I understand there's a gold chase Mr Gold that can go up to $100. However, hotwheels have chases as well (Known as super treasure hunts), and depending on the model, some go as high as $200. I do like LEGO, however, I find myself collecting more die-cast these days... P.S Plastic cost way cheaper than metal.
I admit, I've bought some of the Ali express Bionicle g2 and Marvel figures, as a MOC creator, the ones that try to be original are handy when you need parts in colours that Lego did not officially release, CCBS shells in green, dark blue and dark red for example...
fun fact: this also happens with transformers. (especially the combiner wars toyline) if you go in ebay and search up combiner wars, there are loads of knockoffs that you could see that follow the same rules of the lego fakes.
This literally happened to me in a harsh way. I wanted to buy Ninjago City, I found it on eBay, and the seller put the original photo for the set, and I checked out the brand, the country, and I made sure that it is original and I ordered it with a price of 490 dollars and it arrived after 2 months and when I got it, it showed me a Chinese fake Ninjago set and it wasn't even a fake Ninjago City it was a fake Star Wars set! I looked up the original price for the fake Star Wars set and it was only ten dollars, so not only it came the wrong set and not original but the seller stole from me 450 dollars!!!
Ok, funny story. So one time at a mall during christmas time I got a present from Santa (It was my dad's anual work holiday party). I shook it a little and was exited to hear the rattle of those little bricks. But I opened it up and found out that it was a knockoff lego set from a company called KREO. I will admit that it had sharks and a little rumbling platform so the sharks would move around, which was cool. But the minifigures had CHEEKBONES. Also, the rumble platform turned off after like a minute (there was only an on button) and every time it turned of a pre-recorded voice shout ethusiastically "KREO!"

I get your point but when you really want to build armies im not spending 15 a pop just for a real one screw that. Also some are unique builds that are done pretty well. Like the galactic marines, doubt that lego will make that one.
Exactly, I highly agree I buy bootlegs one and even though they're not LEGO quality They're still pretty high quality POGO is quite decent with their plastic Sheng Yuan has silky and shiny smooth plastic texture while LeLe has lighter feel and rough It's good for building army and to buy decommissioned legos such as Castle and Kingdom (which I collect personally)
What I do is buy fake lego that's listed as real lego and then when it arrives, I complain to the seller and then they usually give my money back and I get to keep the 'lego'
I usually only acquire complete minifigs from sets, but have bought some bulk minifigs parts and accessories (ex: 3/4 lb. of loose torsos, heads, legs, hair/helmets and weapons/tools, etc. In those cases, there are always some non-LEGO parts, but they're not usually hard to identify. However, I have a lot of maroon pieces--brick elements--that I am concerned are not genuine LEGOs due to the fact that they break
Sorry...got shanghied in mid-sentence....due to the fact that they break easily. Usually the plate pieces have been the most brittle, and always only maroon. They don't seem to handle stress like a LEGO does. And with 3D printers, I imagine it is rather easy to manufacture fake pieces from home. Which is fine if its for one's personal collection and they have lower standards or just need large amounts of certain elements for a MOC, but they are a pain in the butt . Has anyone else had brittle maroon pieces, or did I get unlucky with a bulk lot purchase?
reddish brown Lego from around 2008 is known to break and dark red (which I guess you are referring too) might too. About fake minifig parts: The vast majority of fakes I find in bulk are in fact very easy, as they have slightly different molds. Then there are a few with bad printing… And then I have a pair of City/Train figures: Perfect printing, perfect molding; just missing the "Lego" mark on the pieces. I only did spot them, because I was already very critical on that bulk for very many other non-Lego pieces including some quite specific stuff probably from the same set.
I actually buy fake Lego, actually quite a lot of it. But I only buy it when it’s really cheap. And the only reason I do it is because I like to set it on fire, blow it up, and I just straight up enjoy destroying it
I remember back in 2015 or so, I bought a pack of MCU ones cause I was convinced somehow. And yeah, they're crap. Vision and Scarlet Witch are fine, the rest have their faces printed way too low, half their torso print just faded off, etc.
I’ve been looking at these cheap Star Wars sets that are retiring soon (Kylo ren’s shuttle for $87, Poe’s x-wing for $51, etc.) but they all use stock photos and are from sellers that are brand new and have like 10-30 reviews. All of them say they came the same day and were delivered in Walmart bags but idk if I should trust it
I searched up Lego Ninjago every double bikes set and the first thing on shopping that came up was a fake ninjago motorbikes set with seven mini figures but it only went for £10
I bought a Deadpool minifig off of Bricklink, and there was something really off about how he felt compared to other minifigs. I contacted the seller and he shipped out a new set of legs, and they still felt wonky. I ended up buying a used set that Deadpool came from off of eBay, and there were some differences in the print, the used one had thicker outlines, eyes not being pure white, the usual issues I wish LEGO could do better. So what was the seller on Bricklink selling me? I’m assuming the pieces were real, just cleaned off and reprinted with whatever super hero.
Wait what did that say?? Hold up lemme get my glasses for my glasses for my glasses for my glasses for my glasses! AHH THERE WE GO!!! NOW I CAN READ THIS MICROSCOPIC TEXT!
Bootleg or fake products are bad for Lego ...TLG buying up the secondary market or used elements and derailing a business similar to BrickArms is harmful to the hobby and every collector.
I only buy fake knockoff LEGO minifigures if I see a character that lego hasn't officially made yet. I knowingly buy these knockoffs just to get variety. For example, Spiderman's Far From Home suit hasn't been officially made by lego, but a knockoff seller made one, and I ended up buying it. The quality is surprisingly great and the paint job is amazing. Just be careful who you buy from

@@Cortesevasive at least we are not missing out on unique figs
They're actually quality believe it or not
But oh well, to each their own
Fake lego dinosaurs are also very common, but are extremely easy to spot.
A friend of mine got that marvel figures pack from his parents. It is a shame that these scamers get money for stealing other peoples ideas.😡
I hate when these listings come up.
When I was younger I thought I saw a deal with ninjago minifigures for £20 but when I got them they were fake ( I also got them on amazon)
Every fake LEGO minifigs comes with at least one of these: 1. Star Wars rifle 2. Motorbike 3. Dinosaur
I came as soon I saw the notification

What I do is buy fake lego that's listed as real lego and then when it arrives, I complain to the seller and then they usually give my money back and I get to keep the 'lego'
I bought 6 ninjago minifigures on ebay and when the minifigs were delivered there wasnt a nya minifigure
but a c3 po minifigure!
10/10 Quality

And the only reason I do it is because I like to set it on fire, blow it up, and I just straight up enjoy destroying it
They are not fake, they are "Replica" 🤣
unlicensed stuff is FAKE
I remember back in 2015 or so, I bought a pack of MCU ones cause I was convinced somehow. And yeah, they're crap. Vision and Scarlet Witch are fine, the rest have their faces printed way too low, half their torso print just faded off, etc.

*hey bawn bawn go get'em! YEET*
I think I've seen some of those Ninjago ones but thanks to your vids on this stuff I know what to look for, especially in pictures.
Thx for telling us i wont make that mistake then (olso can u do more ninjago cards)
I’ve been looking at these cheap Star Wars sets that are retiring soon (Kylo ren’s shuttle for $87, Poe’s x-wing for $51, etc.) but they all use stock photos and are from sellers that are brand new and have like 10-30 reviews. All of them say they came the same day and were delivered in Walmart bags but idk if I should trust it
Pleasw someone tell me where can i wach season 11
Watch on UA-cam after searching for them I did that and it worked
If it's made clear that it's fake, then fair enough, but those that claim to be real are the worst.

Thanks for the heads up!

It's sad when you find fake legos☹
I bought fake lego on purpose cause they re perfect replicas at a very cheap price

Bootleg or fake products are bad for Lego ...TLG buying up the secondary market or used elements and derailing
a business similar to BrickArms is harmful to the hobby and every collector.
