In order for me to get broadband, It would cost ( initially) almost $450 with $160 per month for service. Senior Citizens prioritize housing, prescription costs and electricity ( the highest cost in the entire US) etc... thank you for bringing this to light.

My high school friends and I that summer watched almost all the Watergate hearings. I'll never forget when Mark said, "Who's this Alexander Butterfield guy who's on tomorrow? I'll bet it's something big," all the other witnesses had already been in the news or there was a short blurb as to what they would be testifying to. Butterfield had no blurb. Mark picked up on this and joked about how this quiet teacher-looking guy was going to stand up and rip open his shirt and tie and turn into Superman or something. It was long but it was also very exciting. Watching the hearings was an education in democracy, politics and what people will do to get power and keep it-- but it was also a moment when judges, senators and representatives stepped up to place the country and the Constitution over party and partisanship.

Yes, the hearings were on C-SPAN, but when the House resumed session at noon, they went to C-SPAN 3, which is not available on the most basic level of cable. I do have internet, so was able to continue watching.
