Thanks for putting out this great review. Of all the reviews I've seen, you were the first to mention the firmware update as well as the anti-theft update
Nice review and editing. This bike is like the Porsche Carrera of the 80s. Pay more, get less. It was breed as a racer with no frills (no stereo, no air con). Here you get less battery, less power but pay more. For most people the whole point of an ebike is power assistance. This SL definitely is for a different segment of rider
Great review mate. Good to see some fellow saffas getting to review these bikes. Having watched all the other reviews worldwide you really say the right things.
Honestly, how many peeps in South Africa can afford this bike? Great bike, just aimed @ the 0.02% of the mountain bike community. And those who can afford this probably won’t be able to shred it like it supposed to

I wonder how this climbs? Does it track well?
I been riding Ibis bikes for years and hold them as the Standard..LOL.
Great review. If you had the choice between this and a Turbo Levo what would you pick?
Very different bikes mate. Each has pros and cons and suits different needs for different riders. Tough question to answer
Sorry if I missed that but how tall are you ?
Thanks
